I just picked up a 93 shorty ford diesel and am moving into it this month. I really love her build and she makes me feel confident in my choice to go for a bus and re-purpose rather than deal with an RV🎉 I hope i am half as resilient as this lady!!

I knew someone who bought a new $150k RV that started falling apart after 4 months if travel. They commented that they wish they had built out a schooling. Beautiful schooling! Happy travels!

I've lived in an RV for the last 3+ years. It's done nothing but fall apart for the entire time. I won't recommend anyone live in an RV. Save time, money, stress and issues and just build it yourself.

yes the new rvs seem to be having quality issues and cost a huge amount of money. Not to mention the slid outs to expand the living space. Were as a schoolie is metal. The main things to look for in it is change out the windows because they are known to leak and make sure its not rusted underneath. Also make sure the engine and trans is working good with decent miles and you can have a solid plateform to build. Just make sure to insulate good and get a fuel heater. You are golden.

I love everything about this house except the live edge, but that is just a personal preference. All the artwork really makes this bus look so homey and loved. It helps that she is a cat person, too. I absolutely love the catios!

Perfect build for a schoolie - good bones (electric and plumbing), then few (if any) body modifications, and finally just let it be you.

Wow, really love that rig. Probably has the most "homey" feel of any I have ever seen. I also like the bus builds, I think that would be my ideal choice as well. Lots and lots of "walking height" space. Thanks Rene for sharing.

Love it! She also had a tap of the metatron cube very cool! I wish I knew if her cat just stays inside or goes out. I wonder cause I plan on taking my furball with me on the road.

Until you have leash trained your cat with an *escape proof* leash, which I strongly recommend, I would not recommend taking your cat. They generally react poorly to changes & loud noises in their environment; & there are many risks & dangers to cats when traveling.

i've met tons of people rolling with their cats in my many years of vanlife, and they all just love it. ...although maybe i haven't met the ones that hated it because they're not out here anymore? not to disrespect the reply above, but each cat is about as different as each person, so i would never make a blanket statement advising anyone to give up their beloved kitty to go out here on the road. only you know if it's a bad idea or not, and only when you get on the road will you know if it was a good idea! heck, my lab was none too pleased with aspects of vanlife at first, a trembling bundle of terror whenever we started rolling, had to build a barrier to keep her from pushing into my footspace while driving. and this great cat mom in the video built 2 'catios' for her babies- amazingly cool! so we do what we need to do to keep our pets happy and healthy, whether in a stationary house or a rolling one. i hope yours loves it and you do too!

I lost my beloved housecat when I took her on the road with me in a cat carrier and harness while on a cross country move. Something startled her at a Pilot gas station and she squirmed out of her harness like Houdini and ran away into the nearby woods. I slept in my vehicle for a month trying everything to get her back. I found her on the tenth day, but she wouldn’t come to me and only went deeper into the woods. Exhausted, heartbroken, and with a bad case of Poison Ivy after 30 days of non-stop searching, I eventually drove away devastated. Oh how I adored her and am still heartbroken six years later.

A Chanel would be a veiw into how to be that's for shuer she's self motivated, self happylated,gets thre the clouds to the sunshine and stays there.has good friends,dedicated,no lack of love for herself or others,has great work benches,and is an 🎨 artist😮oh my a cat deck,and can defend it ,maintain it,and what an inspiration to all who are dragging there feet to make it happen like...me.thank you Bob again for showing these VI. Great job on your DIY🎉 Converting a bus/van is so much more gratifying than just going out and buying an RV! You get the satisfaction and what you want installed, do you know where to go if you have a problem, it also cost much less! I converted my 2006 Toyota Sienna last year and we love it!

Beautiful lady and bus. She is super talented. A bit out of my budget, and more than I would want to maintain. I absolutely love the catio. Lucky feline. Had to edit because autocorrect didn’t recognize catio. Lol

What a great build. Schoolies are such a good platform to build out. That drive train may very well be one of the best out there. It is incredibly reliable and strong. Yes, fuel economy is poor, but it isn't like you are always out on the road. The whole point of van (schoolie) life is to find a spot and chill for awhile. Cheers!

Pretty name for a pretty woman with a pretty bus. If I had had more time in my life I might have built out a skoolie but after rehabbing 10 apartments to get on the road I just bought the RV I wanted. Keep the good stuff coming Bob.

Renae what a beautiful home we absolutely love it. The wood stove is on my list to get and my son’s list also. We have cargo trailer conversions. We are so blessed to be able to live our golden years as we say in our tiny home. The antique doors that are used as walls are really nice and the stairs are your dresser.
