As a 19 year-old ND fan, we’ve never won a big game in my lifetime up until the win against Clemson in November. That win is probably the greatest thing I’ve ever seen. But I have seen this movie before in 2012 so I doubt we have a shot Friday. PSA to my fellow Domers: Don’t get excited and you can’t be disappointed. I was 8 years old when nd beat alabama in the 1973 national championship game which was the first meeting of these 2 major powers. One of most historic games ever ....u should watch it plus the 1975 Orange bowl when we beat bama again in aras last game

Listen everyone, im a huge nd fan but this is how the game will playout... Notre dame will start fast, they will have a 3-0 lead halfway through the first quarter, then the game will be tied at 3 at the end of the 1st, then in 7 minutes in the 2nd, alabama will score 28 points, and 7 in the third quarter and alabama will win 38-3 or 38-10, but i hope its way more competitive

Notre Dame can play straight up man to man defense and get blown out quick. Or they can drop 7 or 8 into coverage and make Alabama play the short passing game and power running game. They problem is the schools that tried this strategy still gave up 50 plus points.

00:02 data is mind boggling. So every time Notre Dame went to major bowls since 2001. They always got their rear end handed to them. Against Alabama. In the first couple of minutes they will be able to put up some fights. Notre Dame is pretty athletic this year. But Bama will take over soon enough.

I think as a ND fan the only way to keep ND in the game is keep the ball away from Bama and tackle tackle the guy with the ball. Bama lives off miss-tackles and turnovers. ND needs to just eat up the clock and run the ball but definitely not down the middle. You wont get anywhere against Bama running down the middle...use Williams speed and take the corners. I just wish we had a deep threat receiver like a will fuller or golden tate. That is what we are missing. Second, Book,,,,if the play is not open in 2 second run the ball straight ahead...no side to side running, Bama will catch you. I want to see Book run for 2-3 yards then to just throw the ball way so he does not get sack.....get those 2-3 yards....we will need it.

@@allabouthewaves4354 they’ve been in the playoffs twice? BCS title game once against a juggernaut Alabama team. If they got there every single year and lost that’s something more like it. They more or less have to go undefeated every year to get in without a conference title, and even then that may not be enough. This year is the only exception, and beating the #1 ranked team in the country is why. I think if they didn’t win against DJ they would’ve slid to three instead of four. Ohio state struggled with any decent competition they faced this year and only played 7 games including the title game. I think they got it right at ND 4 all things considered. A&M’s best win was a three loss Florida team, and then next un ranked Auburn.

Why not? Notre Dame has not shown us they can beat a powerhouse team. Swept by Georgia. Destroyed by Clemson twice with Lawrence, Alabama curvestomped them in the fake NCG. They can beat up on Michigan, 2012 Oklahoma, no offense LSU teams but when they big boys, they lose every time.

I suggest that ND bring some NFL ringers, put on ND uniforms, and play them throughout the game. They would need a minimum of 6 NFL Pro Bowlers, but with NFL ringers they have a Fighting Irish chance.

Okay, Notre Dame is better this year but Alabama is better as well. Notre Dame has just as good a shot if not better than anyone that was going to be at 4. The 4 spot hasn't really shown up consistently in this game and i don't think they will this year either. I don't think that is Notre Dame's fault. Most times when you face the better team you lose. Sure there is room for an upset I just don't see it here.

Hey i think Nd's offensive line is good. 3 out of the 5 just made all american. Also tremble is the best blocking TE in the country. I believe there will be plays to be made in the game. Early in the last game ND moved the ball on 3 straight drives. they miss a chip shot FG to go up 6-0. Then they drop a 4th and 3 pass in redzone and only come away with 3 points on 3 drives. They need to convert in the red zone early and hopefully control the time of possesion to at least keep their defense rested. The best way to stop bama's offense is keep them off the field. If bama puts D guys in box on 1st down ND has to throw the ball early and often. It's all about execution! Also don't miss short Fg's!

As a lifelong Notre Dame fan, and a realist... Winning this would be tough... very tough... let's be honst... it aint happening. BUT.... Notre Dame is a top 4 team. I just think alot of people (myself included)believe that a team like Ohio State should not qualify after playing half the games other teams played. Their guys are not as tired, not as banged up, etc...I'm not even sure they put in enough time to get their uniforms dirty. A&M played twice the games and only lost to Alabama. Notre Dame can score but can they stop Bama?.... they won't win a shoot out. But Bamas defense has not shown the ability to defend balanced attacks. Against good comp Bama has won by semi ahoot outs....score the fastest and hold on but not stopping the opponent from putting up large numbers.

Maybe if Bama loses half their starters to Covid. This is a nightmare matchup for ND. They would have had a much better shot at beating OSU. Bama is one of the best at stretching the field on vertical throws which just happens to be ND’s weakness defensively.

I’m a BAMA fan and I hate all this talk that Notre Dame doesn’t have a chance... like we didn’t basically escape being beat by FL and Ole Miss. I hope the players aren’t hearing this trash and staying focused. Roll Tide

You cant compare those teams to ND . Ole miss and florida has high powered offenses . Ole miss is a offense first team and Florida just had mismatches that can give anybody trouble

@@antoniohoward5920 plus our O-Line took a major hit. Snap cadence issues will likely happen, less offside penalties going our way, less chemistry, etc. we lost an all American in the trenches.
