I watched a similar video some years ago, the paramedics allowed the dog to go with his owner inside the ambulance. It should be like that always because when a person gets hit by car or has to be taken to the E.R. for some other reason, the person has the right to be accompanied by a relative or friend and a dog is both a friend and a relative. A human can take a shower and reduce the amount on them considerably and wear protective equipment while a dog only gets his bath few times a week depending on owner. Dogs can still be very hyper active even in tense situations, a dirty dog right next to a possibly open wound is the last thing you want.
