I heard someone say that dogs can live without us. But we cannot live without them. Too true! I’ve worked with dogs for years. As a groomer’s assistant to retail at Petsmart they’ve been my fave jobs. It wasn’t lucrative like restaurant work. But more soul satisfying.

I had a Papillion that used to do the same thing, when we'd walk our bike path! She shove her puppy vjj in a dog's face, then go nuts on them, when they took the bait. Lil brat...lol!

That's hunting dog for a $1,000.00 I got mine at the dog shelter for the regular cost of a shelter dog. Like $150 here. She's blk lab and hound mix found kn the side of the road. She points too. She is Fantastic. But yes, sometimes you don't get a dog like that at the shelter. But most times you do find true love. Take care everyone.

my one dog when I was a kid BEAR , my brother and I would play with him in the snow and would let him bite our hands because we had snow gloves on but never would bite without gloves on. to prove to my aunt how gentle and good he was because she was terrified of him and all dogs I fed him out of my mouth by biting the treat leaving him barely anything to bite but he never even came close to biting my lips. so gentle. but it didn't matter, she was still scared and she thought I was gross for doing it. I was trying to prove a point tho, lol

We had a Brittany named Clem. He had no interest in birds or squirrels outdoors, but if he saw a fly on the coffee table he would freeze and strike the classic pointing pose. He was a goofy guy.

4:21 1000$ is what any avrage normal puppy will cost you here. there are like no homeless dogs or any rescue dogs here att all. i think it's because dogs here are so expensive to buy that people don't just buy them randomly and then get bored of it. if they get one then it's because they actually wanted one and they will do what's necessary to take care of it or they pass it on/sell it on to the next guy. no dog ever get's abandoned.

the real root of the problem is puppy mills. people buy the dogs from reputable breeders and then breed those dogs on a massive scale to make as much money as possible. they produce so many puppies they can charge less for them, which enables people to buy a puppy on a whim and then abandon it later. $1000 dog implies the person bought from a breeder, rather than a pet store. I'm pretty curious how your country avoided the puppy mill problem. is dog breeding more regulated?

That's the thing. A dog breed becomes popular due to a movie, tv show, kennel club, THEN the owner finds out just how extensive/expensive maintenance is. Remember live action 101 Dalmations? So many were surrendered to shelters because unscrupulous breeders bred deaf Dalmations. Kennel Club charge outrageous prices for puppies with no guarantee showing that dog will win anything, especially special food, training, special vets, travel, etc.. (We've had this argument, can you tell?)
