... then you're not dealing with humanity. The average human will ignore anything that contradicts what they 'know' is true. Conspiracy Theories not only exploit that but are also memetic hazards (or weapons, as the case may be) that spread unless you take draconian information control measures (i.e., go the route of Russia and China). Also, I recommend buying a copy of _The Selfish Gene_ and _Transhuman Space: Toxic Memes_ to get you into the world of memetics, which will cause you to understand why we're in this situation.

Ok... somehow, my post got deleted, but apparently, you haven't met humanity. People don't like being told facts if those facts go against what they 'know' is true. The same goes for education. Then, there is the problem of conspiracy theories being memetic hazards/weapons. In other words, they're the information version of diseases, whether natural or weaponized. I'm a bit off topic here, but I find Timothy Snyder's testimony so much, so much better by far than the testimony of the various university presidents in House committees. Which I find nauseatingly weak. I've also followed Snyder's lectures on Ukraine, and I'm starting to read his book Bloodlands.

When Georgia Governor Kemp was the Secretary of State and tasked with protecting Georgia's elections, he was also running for governor. "The Road To Unfreedom". A great book. Read it once and then read it again. "Bloodlands" and "On Tyranny" are also essential reading from Timothy Snyder, a brilliant historian of the facts and realities we face and have faced.

The Professor knows of what he speaks! MTG nand others would certainly benefit from Prof. Snyder's Yale course "The Making of Modern Ukraine" or any of his books. Maybe it should be required study. Or it's time they register as Russian agents.💙💛 Let's get that aid to Ukraine so they can win this!

It could be too late. The orcs have been building up massive forces for an offensive to strike when the spring rains subside. They know the Ukrainians are critically low on supplies. Ukraine could buckle under the onslaught. Let's hope the Ukies can hold out until supplies come through.
