BITTY BIG Q Titanium 450ml Cup with Cutlery Set Review
Agenda Free Link : www.amazon.com/Bitty-Big-Tita...
Price : $40
-- Includes --
Storage Bag for Cup -
450ml Cup
Storage Bag for Cutlery -
Foldable Spoon
Foldable Fork
Foldable Knife
-- Weight --
Full Kit including Storage Bag : 5.4oz
Cup : 2.8oz
Cutlery Set with bag : 2.1oz
Storage Bag : .6oz
Materials :
Titanium and stainless
Measurements : 4” tall x 3” wide
Review Pros :
Very lightweight.
Good quality materials
Fair quality construction
Makes for a good coffee cup
Grab tab is rigid and will stand up for easy lid removal
There is a drain hole
Good storage bag; adequately sized for ease of getting it out and putting it in.
Butterfly handles are comfortable even though they are inconsistent - one swings around rather easily while the other is stiff
Measurement markers -
Review Cons :
While this cup will hold 450ml, that is filled all the way to the top which makes 450ml unrealistic in many situations and uses.
Pricey for a titanium cup and cutlery set -
You can get a Toaks 450ml titanium cup with lid for $25 and a long handled spoon for less than this kit and it would be more functional and cost $4-$5 less. You could save even more money by going with nonname brands.
There is a drain hole but it would have been if there was more than one. Not only for dragining but for the releasing of steam; that is important when boiling water, if you aren’t watching closely, the water will boil, the escaping steam will overwhelm the lid and you can easily have a mess on your hands not to mention there is a potential for getting burned.
The cutlery is just ok in my opinion; because it is having to fit into such a small cup, the overall sizes of each utensil is small and short;
Not suitable for freeze dried meals - you will get your hands covered unless you are removing the meal from the bag into a bowl or plate.
Would like to have seen a spork instead of a spoon and spork; that would make the kit lighter in terms of weight but would make it less expensive.
Locking the handles isn’t the easiest thing to do or to release
Lid doesn’t fit completely with the cutlery inside of the cup
Summary :
To wrap up this review, the question is, would I recommend this to anyone to purchase and the answer is no. While I like the small size of the cup, it works well in conjunction with a larger pot such as a 750ml I don’t care for the utensils.
You can piece together a better kit, one that is more suitable for the average outdoor adventure for less.
This company makes a foldable grill which Susie and I like, unfortunately this misses the mark. Review on the grill is coming up soon.

Minor nitpick….why isn’t it 500ml? It’s so close, just give me a half litre! It makes it so much easier to do water calculations.
@xenaguy01

@Sean One could say that about any size cup/pot. Why 700 ml, they could make it 750 instead. Why 1.3 L, could easily be 1.5.

I prefer the screw togeather cutlery sets, especailly the ones that have the option to "add" a segment to the spoon. What this means is you have good "rigid" knife, fork, tea spoon, soup spoon. BUT you can add the segment from one of the others, say the tea spoon to the soup spoon to get a long handle spoon, for mixing ingredients in a pot or... eating out of MRE's.

I have the same impression on this kit. In addition: • The cutlery has 2 needless moving parts which make 2 potential points of failure. • The cutlery is harder to clean in the field due to its moving parts. Summary: I would't pay a single Dollar for this kit, sorry.

Interesting set. I like the titanium (which is why the $$$), but as Luke points out - there are some design question marks. The handles and the vent - it almost seems these are designed by folks who have never really camped or hiked and camped. They have the lightweight part down, but the rest needs some help.

My favorite utensil when camping is the Sea to Summit Ultralight spork. It's got that really long handle which is awesome for freeze dried food and has a great angled head for canned food as well. It also weight about as much as a pencil. There is no way I'd pick up a set with utensils less useful than that one.

Well, guess I'm different. I used a long handled titanium spoon for years. Got one of those folding spoons and love it. Fits in my pot along with my stove, fuel, windscreen, lighter and small towel. I never do the prepackaged dehydrated meals, too expensive. Make my own and use quart sized zip loc bags. It's really handy to just grab my cook set and go, everything's in there. Also, for a cup, I use an Imusa 10cm cup. Can buy cup and spoon for like $6-7 total for both.

The way they measure the volume is the standard way of doing it. If you take a look at Toaks their 650 ml pot will take 675 ml if you fill it t the brim so when they state 650 that is not the amount of water you can cook but simply the volume of the cup/pot. Normally the max fill is the highest graduation on the cup/pot. I have not seen any manufacturer stating the actual max fill for boiling water as the size of their product

It seems like the smartest, most agile set-up is the litefighter 1 on a cot. I've got great Klymit sleeping pads and I've also got a complete hammock rig which I've yet to test. Thanks!

As usual an interesting review and worthy of 8.10 viewing time😂 Regards the advertised volumes I did a quick compare with a couple of my pots/mugs both the very expensive (Evernew) and the not so expensive (Lixada) and found the same result. To get the advertised volume you have to fill the things right to the brim😂 I expect that to be the case in the majority of these type of pots. Regards from deepest Dorset England 👍

All these noname ti ware pots are the same thing from China, just branded with the seller's store. I got the 400ml pot and the 550 from Timberbrother on Amazon. The 400 was a gift, but it was, I think, $20. The 550 was $27 ish(?). The did not come with cutlery. I purchased a toaks Ti folding handle spork for something like $11. I only take the larger pot with me on overnights and a gsi infinity mug. I dehy my own meals and this system works well for me.

You should of added an addendum to the con about the drain/vent hole in the lid. If it's really an issue, it could easily be solved with a couple minutes of time, a drill, and a drill bit. Make the existing hole bigger, or add a couple of additional ones.

Hey Luke. This kit is currently $36 on Amazon, which I didn't think was bad. I have the BBQ folding grill and love it. I am a bit anal-retentive regarding having gear match when possible (I know...'m working on it). Toaks 450ml with lid is $25 everywhere. So I'm getting the cutlery set for another $11. I can live with that as a spare set. I DO plan on drilling additional small holes in lid, great point in review. I'll give it a shot and let you know brother! Thanks as always.

I just recently bought the cup only. It has 3 holes-haven't tried it yet for boiling. I find it a bit small, but it is a nice cup. I wish the lid could be locked on. As is, it will likely go missing eventually. It will nest in Toaks pots such as the 750ml. Would I recommend it? If 450 ml is big enough for you, yes.

3:15 The capacity rating is a valid point, . . . or is it? Are there actually *any* ultralight cups/pots that don't measure capacity to the brim? Also, the point about the lid not sitting flat ... Are we supposed to store the utensils outside the pot in the stuff sack?

Very close to the 700ml/750ml Tomshoo pot I got from AlliExpress. It had the bag and top and had slightly different-shaped handles. It did not have the cutlery kit. It cost only slightly north of $20. I don't believe it has a hole in the top, but is that really an issue when you can always just leave the lid open a crack? And I can't say I'm looking to drain anything from a perforated top, so not really an issue for me.

One of the large Swiss Retailer gives the Cuttlery for 9USD in good quality. If that is 35 Gramm or 26 doesnt make a difference. The GSI handles are the best on The Market. If you’re a large Coffee drinker use GSI Emaile. Weight is highly irrelevant for a Weekend or so. And those GSI Tools don’t break.
