Chris, When you were speaking about Predictive energy usage and range it left me with a question. Does Tesla's predictions take into account elevation changes? My Wife has a Volkswagen ID.4 and it struggles with planning charging stops in my area because it's not accounting for extra range loss due to the changes in elevation we have out here. This is BULLSh~T - a new battery is much more expensive. Go and research it before believing this lie. A new battery can cost more than the car is worth. And you will need a new battery sooner than you think. Best thing to do is lease a Tesla… and know that you are not ‘saving the planet’, as a new battery puts out as much CO2 as driving a gas car ~100,000 km.

4:09 the "miles" display is NOT based on anything other than the amount of charge the battery has. Driving habits and historical range are not a part of the display at all. Trip range, super charging planning, and the energy tab account for these things. But the "miles" shown by your battery are simply the number of Kilowatt-hours multiplied by some magical EPA number. Whether you drive exclusively in school zones or do literally nothing but drag race, that number will never vary for any reason other than your actual state of charge.

Great clip! Thanks! After my first incident (can't open car using my phone), i'm carrying a real Tesla access card in the wallet together will all other cards; ordered additional set of cards, program one extra and keeping at home. BTW, if you have two Teslas, you can program access cards to work on any your car.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it but you said don't completely charge your batter but then soon after said to leave the Tesla plugged in...would that not completely charge the battery or have a similar effect of fully charging the battery? Little confused here
@JohnFatCat
@JohnFatCat 2 місяці тому
You should set a charging ceiling (let's say 80%) to your Tesla with NMC battery so you can never "completely charge your battery" even if you leave your Tesla plugged in.

My tires rotation experience is pretty interesting with Tesla... For some reason, Tesla always say that my tires were good whenever they show up to do it. I got uncomfortable when it was over 12k and they still say that it did not need a rotation even though the manual stated to rotate them every 6k miles. I ended up taking them to a tire shop for them to rotate the tires there. I have a RWD M3 SR+

Maybe you don't drive a lot? Mine was, the guy was very friendly and looked at the tires for threads and asked how often do i drive the car. He said I did not need to rotate. Replace the O valve or someting for the trunk and there was no charge
