I love how the game badges show that even the creators know that some of the entities are incredibly annoying. For example: "I hate you, could you just leave me alone for five minutes?" for screech. true tho lol

The crucifix proved 2 things in this game. 1: Entities have to be strong enough to break through the crucifix if they don’t want to die 2: Seek was struggling, which means he was barely strong enough, but FIGURE WASN’T EVEN FAZED

The fact figure didn't even try to get out says alot about how powerful he is

I have lore reasons for Seek and Figure not being killed by the Crucifix. Seek is a really powerful demon, which is why he struggles for a bit, but breaks out. Figure isn't a demon at all, which is why he just snaps the chains.

Love how dupes is basically just throwing a flashbang in there and hearing him scream in agony

Figure not even struggling to break the chains made me think that the crucifix is stricted to banish only demons and evil spirits. Some have a huge amount of power to break the chains, but Figure is untouched because he isn't considered to be a demon or an evil spirit.

I just love how much main character vibes this gives . I used it once on rush because my friends stole all the closets before I had anytime. I stood there by myself and took him head on and it felt so cool.

Just wanted to say a lot of people seem to use the crucifix for the sake of banishing monsters. That’s not the best use. The best use is as a second life so that say if you got hit by something that usually instant kills or would kill you at your current hp you would be fine. Yeah the animation is cool but always remember, CONSERVE YOUR CROSSES

The reason why you couldn't use the crucifix on A-60 is because you have to wash it with water. If you find a kitchen with a sink, press E on the sink. But not all sinks have the E button.

I like that other entities got dragged and some 2 of them literally gets out of it, even dupe got vanished in the fake room very epicly

I love how the achievement said "Shut up, thanks!" when crucifixing Ambush, this would show us how relatable it is to be annoyed at it

The Crucifix is an symbol that the guiding light can apparently possess hence upon attacking an entity it’s dragged down by chains that match the same colour as the Guiding Light This also applies to Rooms as Guiding Light has no way to follow you there which instead Lost Light takes their place which tbh Lost Light is a douche. It doesn’t tell you anything or help, it doesn’t even know it’s own dimension unlike Guiding Light

Going off of MatPat’s theory, it makes sense that seek and figure wouldn’t get affected by the crucifix. Considering the others are more supernatural and magic when compared to seek and figure.

The bloodcurdling scream of screech when you use it on him makes it feel so good after he comes for you one too many times

Their strength (based on how long it takes for them to die/break out of the Crucifix): Rush: 5 seconds, he rises up (whilst actually struggling to) a lot but not for that long and eventually gets pulled down quickly (it would be cooler if Rush could last longer against the Crucifix in The Greenhouse because he appears to be more strong than he usually does). Screech: 4.5 seconds, showing he is weaker than Rush but tries to fly away (as seen whilst using the Crucifix). Ambush: 4.68 seconds, but he rises up a lot more than Rush and also doesn't struggle whilst rising when Crucifix'd. Eyes: 4 seconds and (weakest so far) hardly rises up, but he does actually try to reject the Crucifix as one of his sounds is called 'Repent' which shows he is trying to ignore the Crucifix to kill the player. Figure: 10 seconds to break out of the Crucifix which is surprising considering how strong he seems and hardly gets fazed by the Crucifix at all and just moving a little (lore-wise, they are important and powerful antagonists). Seek: 13 seconds to break out of the Crucifix, showing he is weaker than Figure because it takes longer and he is also struggling to break free, gets tired, trips a little whilst starting to chase the player and then continues the chase. Dupe: 8 seconds (so far longest to survive before dying), the Crucifix starts to work a little delayed (either it was lag or actual strength) before starting to kill Dupe which shows he tries to escape before the Crucifix catches him (or the Crucifix didn't realise the monster because it was thrown on the floor). Halt: Don't care, but he deserves to die. The reason the Crucifix couldn't kill A-60, A-90 or A-120 was because the Crucifix isn't Jesus related, it is powered by Guiding Light which is non-existent in The Rooms and is instead replaced with Curious Light. Neither does the Candle, it's purpose isn't a light source but to scan for entities, which is also powered by Guiding Light.

I live how the achievement for screech is "I Hate You" showing that the developers know that everyone hates screech

I have a theory. Maybe because you are in Rooms and not Doors, the crucifix doesn't work. That might be happening because the guiding light(the spirit that helps you survive) is trapped in the Hotel together with the other monsters. That's why when you get the crucifix out in Rooms, it says that it feels lighter than normal. (MatPat's latest video on Doors helped me out a lot putting the pieces together to figure this out. For those who don't know him, go to game theorists. That's his game theory channel, you should definitely subscribe.)

It doesn't banish anything permanently cuz they always come back. I think the crucifix is better to use when your outside or anywhere you can't really notice the lights flickering. So just walk with it in hand just don't open any doors while holding it. I think they should make the use permanently per game cuz it's hard to obtain and very expensive.

I used my first crucifix on the rush. Me and my friend (2 others were dead) were in the rush room, and I was panicking because I didn't realize there was a closet right behind me that my friend pointed out. I pulled it out by accident and got the rush, but didn't get to see because I began to run away thinking it would come back. It was the coolest thing ever according to my friends
