Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky and Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy lived and worked at the same time. They were bound by the dream of a worldwide brotherhood based on Christian principles. They both tried to change the world, starting not with the world, but with themselves. Both were devoted to the decision they made in their youth for the rest of their lives.
But in some of their questions one could call antagonists. Is it true that Dostoevsky was jealous of Tolstoy? How did Lev Nikolaevich assess his colleague's writing talent? Why did their personal meeting never take place? You will learn about all this in our new issue.
Writer, senior lecturer of the Faculty of Philology of the RUDN University Gayane Stepanyan informs about it. Enjoy watching Dostoevsky's lectures.
