@@hi.7330 because Twitter & social media platforms are private enterprises. They are entitled to their free speech too. Trump can say what wants & bear the consequences for it. Social platforms are under no obligation to host his speech or share any legal liability that results. They as part of their own free speech liberties are entitled to oppose his views & statements. More than that they have a duty to point out if something on their platform is untrue. They didn't stop him from saying anything. They just stopped him from using their platform to do it as they are entitled to do. As President he had more power than most to widely make his voice heard. There was nothing stopping him issuing a official statement. So you can't say that Trump was being denied his free speech rights.

I feel considerably less stressed as a viewer watching these press conferences. We're still dealing with a deadly pandemic, of course, but now I know everyone is allowed and encouraged to speak freely in the service of the public good rather than being made to curtail their time behind the podium for the sake of the president's ego.
