He didn't have to try he is an incel by definition. The incel definition in the incel community is basically ANY male whether he is married or not....who is PHYSICALLY unattractive to woman and HAS to make up for it with MONEY , POWER etc...why does that make sense? Because whatever woman they end up with IS NOT attracted to him....she is with him because SHES using HIM...and he doesn't have the SEX life of someone who's attractive to her. This ends up usually in divorce or sexless marriages. While incels CAN get a relationship and KNOW they can do it...MOST choose NOT to due to the simple reason such woman is ONLY after the man for reasons other than love. The incel definition by those outside of the incel community is VASTLY different....and its usually exagerated or CHANGED to fit their agenda or to HIDE the truth about human nature. Its much easier to insult someone and discard their reasoning (which is backed up by studies & research papers and evidence from everyday life) .

So talking about it with someone else (can be a therapist, but can also be a friend) can really help seeing things in a new way.

@@keewayne3 Therapy is not "in real life". Most people are not "aware" of conversations in the way that therapists are. No one naturally says "Okay, we've gone as deep as we needed to in this branch of our discussion, let's return to what we were talking about 15 minutes ago and get back into that topic." As someone taking therapy, you've paid for sessions with a professional to help you introspect and understand yourself, and maybe even "fix you". That takes a certain degree of faith that the questions they're asking are meant to produce introspection and allow the therapist to get to the heart of the issue rather than treating symptoms. But yes, I do agree that sometimes, the questions do become overwhelming, and a bad therapist would just bulldoze over the discomfort to try and produce an epiphany without actually allowing for any introspection.

To those commenting that this "went absolutely nowhere" and expressing a hopelessness towards the concept of therapy: Therapy. Takes. Time. A fuck ton. And you can only do so much at once. Expect to feel like you and your therapist are getting to know each other for the first few months. Know tho that THEY are actually getting to know you for the first couple years. If you have a lifetime of unaddressed trauma (if you think you don't, prepare to be frequently surprised), if you raise an eyebrow at the concept of somatic identification of the location of emotion within the physical body, and if your inner-critic is the only introspective force you have... Seriously expect real break thrus (and REAL frustration) somewhere like the 2 year mark. You aren't done. 5 years is the LOW end for healing. I was crushed when I realized my short in-patient psych ward stay was only the the first of a thousand stair steps. A friend consoled me with some of the darkest advice in response to my dismay. "Yeah, it takes a lifetime. But imagine NOT doing the work. Most people go their whole lives refusing to turn a single stone. And they spread their woe. And then they die. Seems a less desirable path to me, tho the one you've chosen IS so much harder."

Watching this, I was reminded of early in my own mental health journey when I first had a peer support session. I was very much in a bad place then, yet after that first visit my peer support person told me that I should sincerely consider doing this myself when I'm feeling better. Well, here I am! Do you anticipate hiring further coaches in the future? I looked on the website and there aren't any currently available. I would not only love this job, I have a very large pool of life experiences from which to draw. I'll keep looking elsewhere in the mean time, but coaching for your team would be my dream, Dr. K!

I want to have more confidence in the coaching program... but the inability to unambiguously define the "difference between therapy and coaching" doesn't exactly instill that confidence... And I would strongly suggest that coaches need to deliver clear cut distinctions from the beginning so coach and client have clear expectations of their goals and responsibilities.

@@Imsanthisismychannnelhi The legal reasons are there for a reason... training for therapists is much bigger than for coaches. They use manu of the same tools, but therapy is more equipped to deal with deeper stuff coming up when using them, while for coaches there is a limit where they have to say "I am not equipped to work with that, for that you need to go to therapy, but I can help with this aspect of it instead" and lead the client back to what they can work on.

@@polarbearbowl6102 i was having hella panic attacks where i thought i was having a heart attack. then i was getting them out of being scared to get them which was a ridiculous cycle. the main thing with panic attacks is you gotta understand your triggers and train your mind against them. you cant avoid them you have to slowly confront them. meditation wasnt the only thing i did to further this goal but it helped me stay a bit more relaxed and catch my triggers before they got out of hand. nobody said it was a cure all and honestly im sorry but in your case i dont think it would help at all, youre going to need something a bit stronger. "I just hear the words coming out of my mouth" .... This is me. Any tricks to actually become quiet? Usually i'm saying i'm aware of me not being able to shut up. And yet my mouth keep saying stuff before it goes through my filter. Not to forget those awkward moments u just heard words coming out of your mouth, and hoping you didnt said it out loud. But the facial expression from others says it all...

@Dlazybeatbox 2 роки тому
@@clonerstive Thanks for replying! "The conscious decision," is actually the end goal. I'm wondering how to take that step back, and think before I talk? Because now it feels like my subconscious is just talking. Like I'm in the, "passenger seat." And even when I'm aware of it, I'm still not able to drive. My understanding of this is having a, "Immature Frontal lobe." I'm just wondering if there is a way to break this thoughtless process? Because it feels like you do have a choice/thought before you open your mouth.
@clonerstive

@@Dlazybeatbox I'm not a pro by any means, but starting with noticing and paying attention to when that impulse hits would be the first step. That part of your brain can be developed with practice. Try it with friends either online or in person. Also, I find trying to think of questions to ask, rather than simply being ready with an answer helps. If you've got audible, I personally found the book "How to win friends and influence people" helped train my brain to be more able to make conscious decisions. (I'm a fan of audio books)
