День томуJo Hickey-Hall chats with Dr Neil Rushton about his inexplicable audio experience on Glastonbury Tor in October 2023. He very candidly describes the difficult time he underwent through this last winter, following the encounter.
This episode offers our thoughts on what can happen when we journey down to the Underworld. We all go there throughout our lives some of us more than others but these dark places are familiar to all of us at some points in our lives.
I'm very grateful to Neil for sharing in the way he did. We don't talk enough about the difficult parts of life.

I just wanted to add, spending so much of my life alone, but aware of those who shall not be named here, it is so very VERY refreshing to hear and to know that others also know what’s going on. I believe, like you, that love and light will overcome this dark swamp era, now that so many can now see it. Much love to all. Feel a bit teary… in a good way ✨🫶🏻✨Big fan of Graham Hancock too 👍🏼 Yes, so many are most definitely disconnected from spirit and from nature, even those who yearn for it. Oh gosh what you were saying about the underworld got me. I have been going through lyme disease decreasing lack of mobility other other health issues. I visited the underworld for sure and the thing that brought me back up is creativity it gives me so much joy.

Hello both, I so enjoyed this, Neil I agree with the shaman who said, we disconnected with spirit. There are so many of us who are and will always be connected to our beautiful Gaia, the light beings. I feel they are speaking and communicating with more of us. This was a fascinating discussion. I would love to visit Glastonbury Tor and all the wonderful sites there. My heart tells me (and has for years) that fairies are absolutely real; in fact, I think I may have a fairy /elfin lineage. Jo, I love your podcast and have subscribed. Thanks Jo and Neil...you didn't disappoint. I have been intrigued and inspired by what James Tunney has been saying for more than a year now. He's very well read (unlike myself) and the impression I get is that the 'controlling minority ' have been 'stirring the pot' for thousands of years...and yes, they are trying to move the masses away from spiritual things, and from the ability to work as one...which we absolutely need to as a matter of urgency. Mr Tunney had an excellent discussion on the 'Fit Amy' channel. He explained the issue that faces us in his clearest terms, and it is essential viewing IMHO. Technology will be used (and has been used) to befuddle us, and it's no suprise that it 'fails' at times...is it that the 'controllers' want to interfere with our communications? Certain among us have been influenced in ways they would barely believe already...not me, I'm dull and unimaginative 🤭, and my family tree lacks some of the Northern European heritage that makes me a possible test subject 🤔 But I do wonder if a close relative didn't go over to the 'other side'.

Such an amazing podcast interview. It's been a long time since I have visited Glastonbury and climbed the Tor. I hope I make it there again someday. but living in Suffolk and reliant on public transport makes that impossible at the moment. I know that feeling of missing fey when they are not around. Especially as they visit my home often. I've had quite a few experiences from when I was very little till now. But I'm only just starting to put it all together and make sense of it all. It gets me very emotional at times. I daren't mention it to family and friends though I fear they laugh at me.

Big thank you for the shout out to James Tunney. Never come across him before and just listened to an interview with him. Was like he was talking to my soul. In regards to Glastonbury and the Tor, I live in the town and have had one or two experiences similar to Neil's when I've been up there in the dead of night. One time in particular or caught a glimpse of someone standing behind me and moving around. When I turned to speak to them there was no one there. I looked towards both paths to see if anyone was walking down but there wasn't anyone to be seen. For me the place has felt slightly different this last year or two but I'm guessing its got a lot to do with what's going on in the world around us.

@@themodernfairysightingspod8421 will do. I've had some very strange experiences since moving here, some of which is much like the trickster kind of phenomena that goes on with the 'little people'. I'm of Irish descent and grew up with tales of the fairy folk so I wonder if this is somehow connected. Place and genetic background etc. I actually moved here from Ireland. See what you make of it anyhow. Keep up the great work. Hope Neil had a better experience In Glasto this time.

Hi Jo- just wanted to leave a comment as I've been a listener to your podcast for a while now, mostly on Apple podcasts but I can't leave a comment there! As always it's wonderful to hear people's personal experiences of the fortean/paranormal/fey or whatever label we find useful for the "high strangeness" that often circumvents rational explanation... but today i especially enjoyed the conversation you and Dr Rushton had *around* his experience(s). This was both on a "big picture" level (i.e. connecting the tor experience with those of others on the podcast, and the broader context of phenomena globally) but also on a personal level for Neil. I got the impression that he may have found the conversation you had healing. I hope that process continues for him. Back to the big picture stuff, I've been diving into a lot of UFO/ET lore and am becoming increasingly convinced that the crossover with other supernatural experiences is more than coincidental. Specific to this podcast, the description of whistling to fey reminded me of how "tall whites" have been described as communicating. "Tall Whites" are entities that appear sporadically in American UFO/ET narratives, and the descriptions offered by experiencers (I have no direct knowledge of this!) are very fey-like in or even similar to Tolkien's elves. Note these so-called tall whites are distinct entities to the "nordics" that also appear in experiencers' accounts. Apologies for the long comment... but I also want to note that you mentioned the Marian visions at Garabandal. Dian Walsh Pasulka talks at length about these incidents in her excellent book AMERICAN COSMIC, which looks at UFOLOGY through the lens of religious studies- I highly recommend! To square the circle, her research on that topic draws primarily from the prior scholarship of Jacques Vallee's "Passport to Magonia", which slso makes strong connection between folklore ancient and more recent and contemporary ufology! Phew! I needed to get that out. Thank you for a great podcast and another wonderful guest.

I was in Glastonbury in 92 while walking up to the tor we saw the dark figure of a man ahead of us on reaching the tor the man was nowhere to be seen we didn't feel uncomfortable just slightly bewildered.

I had a very similar experience here at my house in West of Ireland a few years ago. I heard voices down by the stream on my land and went down to investigate. I couldn't place the language as any I had heard before. The voices came right up to where I was standing although there was no body there. Everything became heightened in my awareness as if I could hear the trees and plants around me. Eventually I snapped out of it and walked back up to the house. A year or so later I heard a story from someone who had been hiking in the USA. The same 'unplaceable' voices came straight through their tent at night that they had pitched in a very remote area.

EVPs in the podcast? That's the kind of thing that would make me think I was in over my head, if I were the podcaster. I'm glad it hasn't put you off! I feel the world's end coming quickly, but I would love to believe that it will be an ego-death, not an actual one. If the balloon goes up, there won't be survivors able to build a new world of love out of the ruins. There will be no habitat left to love in; the snows of that 'winter' will be deadly to the touch.

It is one view to hold and of course I simply don’t know but this is how it makes most sense to me so the revelations from Garabandal really spoke to me. I guess we’d be wise to hold that vision of things but of course we’re constantly bombarded with images of the worst possible endings (News, films, papers, social media, I even saw a gigantic apocalyptic-looking film poster at a busy junction, drip drip etc etc).

This is going to sound incredibly cheesy, but I feel as though you two ( and Kate Ray) are part of my soul fam- even though I've not met any of you IRL. I relate so much to what Neil said re: the feelings of doom and gloom....and- although the circumstances are different- it's interesting to me that we all seem to have been affected by similar energetic influences ( for want of a better term). I've been living in a tent for almost 5 months now, and was without internet or access to any form of community for about 3 months. I still feel an acute sense of isolation....and frustration, as I have this sense of urgency re: finding my tribe; travel; fulfilling my potential....but it's hard to stay hopeful, as I have this awful sense of impending doom re: all the crap going on in the world. If I do manage to travel over to your part of the world before it's too late, I'd love to meet you guys. ( If I don't get to, then I'm sending hugs to you- I especially hope you are feeling better soon, Neil. I know depression well, and it's really important- especially now- to connect with like-minded souls. Hope Jo and Kate succeed in convincing you to attend the party next time ! Anyway, these encounters were fascinating to hear about, ( was interested to hear that Neil's first experience involved being woken at 3 o'clock, then the second experience involved 3 beings. This number comes up a lot for me, and does seem to be significant in many spiritual belief systems). I have so many things to say re: Jo's insights into these experiences, as well as my own otherworldly experience last winter solstice ( also featuring the number 3) but I've already rambled on enough. ( haha. Sorry...again😅). Thanks for being awesome people, guys 🙌❤️✨️
