It’s called a paint pallete. You did the sunset right, as a general rule you always want the paintings corners darker, it draws the eyes to the middle. I love that Drae doesn’t take anything seriously so all these happy little accidents happen, like painting the screen of the computer or marking the explosion canvas with the brush.

The snowman looking thing is actually an "ink dabber". It's used in the printing process of etchings to spread ink evenly across an etched copper plate. More specifically, because the dabber is a soft material (they used to be made of layers of cloth wrapped in a kit leather "bag" attached to a stick/handle), it insures the ink gets down into the grooves of the etched plate. The plate's surface is then wiped clean where only the ink in the etched lines remains to transfer to the paper. Using it to smear and blend the paint into a smooth gradient would actually work with a little patience/skill. You should have stopped at 12:04 This is a *perfect stylized or impressionist sunset over the water.* Bob Ross's strength was to be able to see his "happy accidents" when they occurred. He would have *highlighted* the orange streaks to look like sunlight reflecting off waves, but at this point it was actually a good impressionist style painting. Art Nouveau (pronounced "new-vough"; literally "new look") is a highly decorative form of painting that showed up in the late 1800s that uses a lot of organic forms and curves to accentuate the subject. The style went so crazy that the decorations sometimes obscured the subject almost completely. You find it today mostly in poster art and silk screening. Now look up "Bill The Cat"!!!!!!

Drae almost had it with the sunset painting (11:54) pretty simple design and it should've ended there but sadly it got screwed up (12:10) ...

I would love to see drae play more of this game and just see how he improves in his paintigs and then maybe becomes like actually genius in painting and stuff

Love this series. You keep using the sponge to smudge things when you have a blend tool that would better do what you want.

The paint goes onto the pallet . LOL The wood things you hold with the paint on them . Now you know what they are called Drae ! LOL Canvas on the easel paint on the pallet . Ross on Brother , I played this for two hours today . Bought it when it first came out . Great game !!

Ok but like.... This is how ACTUAL art is made. Brushes are cool, but genuinely, anything can be used as a brush. You have a knack for this. You should try it irl sometime❤️

There's just something entertaining in watching Drae playing around with colors, it's kinda therapeutic seeing him having fun and laughing in games like these, I think it's the same case with Fireworks Simulator, I hope he finds more games like these :3

I picked up the game because of this series, and because I saw they have graphics tablet support on their road map. One thing I learned: the holostencil and the tape gun are the ultimate tools.

You should always gather some reference images from Google as a first thing you do when starting a new project. It’s Ok to copy pieces of the references and combine them with your own ideas. That’s how it’s done the right way 😊 Making a painting this way even with stick figures I quarantee is much better than if you just started doodling right away. I know this game has it’s limitations but those should be seen as a challenge and not a hinderance.
