trying to keep his gearbox in one piece, Its a 550BHP car trying to run double the BHP it was designed for. There is zero chance that it can launch anywhere near as hard as a 918. even a stock GT-R is limited to just a few launches before it goes into limp mode

Look at that GTR's tachometer. It did not launch, probably fear it may break drive train. 918 did not jump from what I see, it launches well that's all. High tune cars also fear blowing up on extended run, maybe that's why it aborted the run early.

is it just me, or is he kind of extreme slow the one in the gtr? - Doesn't it have LC, and even without, he seems to wait at least one second before he actually put the throttle to the ground?

Need to redo this crap. IF this was a fair run, you'd see the 918 snap forward on launch, pull a little bit, and the GTR LOGICALLY (it's 1200hp supposedly) would catch up fairly quickly and then smoothly pass. I like both cars, but I know the GTR was supposed to win on a fair run instead of the 918 driver being an ass.

GTR didnt use launch control. driver launched around 3000 rpm. With launch control at 4500 rpm the GTR will launch as hard as the porsche thanks 4 wheel drive. then it should be a closer race.

First race 1500rpm launch second 2,000rpm? lol stock launch rpm in a gtr is 4100. Big turbo gtr's if you dno't use launch control and just floor it are horrible off the line.

918 driver jumps (first race), the Alpha 12 driver sucks, one second delay for his brain to process what he hears and sees...and Alpha 12 is suppose to do like 230+ mph

any R35 GTR owner or knowledgeable enthusiast knows launch control RPM on a GTR is on around 4K RPM. For whatever reason this driver did not engage it.

The GTR has all kinds of issues. First, it can't launch, so why try a standing start in the first place? Second, the driver lets the pedal go at around 300, because tuning. Wanna make such a video with a 918 and a GTR? Find a better GTR car/driver combo cause this is ridiculous.
