You won't hear it. B'z are extremely strict about their copyright which is why "Dangan" had to removed from all re-relases of the game starting with the original Dark Arisen. Capcom lost the rights to use it. And I seriously doubt the showrunners would bother to get the rights for it even Capcom, the creators of the IP, didn't.

As someone who never played the game or knew anything about the lore I found it to be a decent binge show. My biggest criticisms though are how the hero doesn't really gain any noticeable power increases or really develop as a character after the first episode. The visuals were passable. I wish he had built up his party and skills more before trying to confront the dragon.

@@jonathanlondon4265 As for Hannah, yes they make here use a sword in the cyclops fight but all in all she came across mostly like a 'Magik Archer' so I wasn't really peeved at it. & the anodyne thing, she didn't really use it they just made it a version of her resurrecting since they didn't expand into making riftstones a thing minus that one scene in her intro

That ending seemed to indicate it. The base game was good. Dark Arisen was unlike anything I've played before or after. Base game 8/10. Dark Arisen 100/10.

I got it for the xbox 360, before Dark Arisen came out. Considering they re-released it to 4 different consoles, PC and Switch even (and i got em all), which are still fairly new to be released, and now a netflix anime, i have high hopes that we are getting a Dragon's Dogma 2!

Exactly what you can do in the game. When playing the video game, the players gets to choose a name for their main pawn. I guess if you were to create your main pawn, you will name your pawn as Big Chungus. Just like players gets to pick a name for their main pawn, Ethan gets to pick a name for his own pawn.

Looks nowhere near as bad. The skeletons running looked a million times smoother than anything in Berserk. Also this is made by a company known to do good CGI work.

OR let’s say that because of our actions in the first game, the arisen is no more, we could play as a pawn trying to find and gain their own humanity without the guidance of an arisen 👀

I don't think it was marketing. The game itself was a little too ahead of its time for the average gamer. I only realized this when I played the PC version years later. I liked what I saw at first release on PS3, but never got around to finishing it. Only after playing more Dark Souls and Monster Hunter I came back to it on PC and started to understand how good Dragon's Dogma really was. When I replayed it again last year on Switch, I was amazed with the sheer number of things this game did get right, stuff that even modern games don't come close to grasp. Open world games in special still have a lot to learn from Dragon's Dogma. Now is the perfect time for it to be better comprehended and explode, it just needs a good sequel with updated tech and I'm sure it will sell way better than the original. I seriously believe it's in a similar position as Monster Hunter was before World, where way more people are now 'trained' to get what makes it tick.

You stun lock small ennemies , they dont cancel you , big ennemies is different but why would you stun lock them if they are bigger and stronger than you ? As the pawns said , wait an opening and strike. Fighter can block , warrior can parry , rogues can dodge and counter , mages are ranged , if you get fked in melee its your fault. Don’t say rubbish pls mate.

@R H you can dodge as an assasin. Thats why every class is different and brings in different challanges

@R H You can dodge with daggers/bow wielding classes. Sword classes are supposed to block or tank through attacks, and casters to attack from afar.

@R H Jesus Christ you are stubborn. Yes, you CAN dodge. The Assassin class has a Forward Roll skill that acts as a dodge. I'm playing as an Assassin right now and I can use dodge just fine.

I've never watched any anime, but I'd watch this just because of my love for the game. Aside from that, it actually looks captivating. Music is good, tone is excellent, story seems true to the source material, and it doesn't seem to harrow any political narratives, which is unusual for Netflix. They actually surpassed my expectations with this. It's adapted to animation a lot better than I thought it would.

I do not like the animation style though. I don't know... It looks off to me.

@@withering.chariot3720 Trust me, I invested a great deal amount of time into that game. At no point did I find it fun to play. Basically it boiled down to one glaring flaw that ruined everything else for that game; the lack of a proper fast travel system! So much time could have been saved, instead of walking all the way from point A to point B, fighting the same enemies, avoiding the same enemies, listening to the same lines of dialogue, and then having to do all that again just to get to the next quest location on the other side of map! I did get that portable fast travel marker, but it only worked for me *ONCE* ! And multiple save slots could have came in handy too! Hell, there are so many things common placed from other open world RPGs from that time that the game was lacking! I'll admit it did some things right, like the story and customization, but what good are those if I can't manually save my game!?

Dragon's Dogma was way ahead of its time in a lot of stuff, so it was a bit strange at first, but some of that it did trickle down to other games over time. With the current popularity of games like Monster Hunter: World, Dark Souls and even Breath of the Wild, it seems way more approachable now than it was back then.
