"This is my first serious welding project..." THIS MAN SITS ON A THRONE OF LIES!!!!! Dude! This was epic! Excellent construction, great video, and don't ever listen to the haters (if you have any, which you probably do because they are just jealous of your skills!) I love that half way, you run out of gas, and switch welding styles like it is nothing. You made this whole thing look like a Jimmy Diresta afternoon project. This was well thought through, excellent work and I hope you are stoked with your final product.

Well he is clearly a woodworker. I'm assuming he built that work bench which is freaking really nice! Also would be a pretty small tig for an experienced fab guy. Maybe it was his first real welding project.

Maybe first time with tig welder, those weld look like shit for a tig welder, if i didn't see the video i would say those are mig welds :D. Anyway those are good welds, just don't look like tig. But for sure this is not the first time.

Having just found this channel, whilst I am aware a cold saw might be out of reach (BROBO). my only suggestion would be on the castors to make an extra one as a template for the next time around. Love your work (I love anything to do with steel, just a few things here are taking you far more time than is needed (20 years in the industry)).

I really dislike people like you that can do all of the bending on the drawer and have it fit the drawer slides correctly :) I spent 4-6 hours this weekend on mine because I didn't account for the radius of the bend on two drawers. My cart was to help teach me all of the things I don't know (ALOT) so its doing its job. Your cart looks really nice!! I like all of the attention to details in using the angles.

FYI, Try grinding or sanding the mill scale off the tubing first before tig welding. You'll get a much nicer weld finish with less chance of porosity in the weldment.

Nice build, but aside from the pleasure of building it, it would be cheaper to just buy one! But I will save this vid in hopes of scoring some free/donated metal or score some at a local scrap yard!! using a sheet metal as your welding top is just freaking genius. haha. But i'd clean the metal a tad more if you're doing TIG.

That isn't genius. That just further shows how beginner this guy is at welding. It's painfully obvious that you shouldn't weld directly on a wooden surface. A better first welding project is a welding table. Assemble it on your floor and ground directly to the frame. A welding table is always all metal. Congratulating him for doing things wrong is counter productive. Also yeh, he defo should have cleaned the metal, flap disc over the weld locations is all that is required, he has the angle grinder ready.

@@DIYToPen There is something to be said for being innovative with the stuff you have at hand. Anyone that has welded a single bead in their life knows how hot a weld can get. This is a temporary solution. Come off your high horse once in a while. It’s nice down here with people making due with what they have.

Nice Work. I think I would have went with larger tires so that it can be lifted up stairs if need be. Also, in the shop sometimes there is a power cord that you can't roll over with smaller wheels very easily. I think the steel used is probably 2x as thick as what would be needed for this project, so it's 2x as heavy.

Hello. Can I ask what color electorde you are using when welding steel and what type of welding rods? Thank you :) I have a few tig welders that were my dads just sitting in the garage. Watching your video made me want to start practicing tig welding. Great job on the work you do :)
