Beginners: do each exercise for 30 seconds with 20 seconds recovery. Intermediate: 40 seconds on, 20 recovery. Advanced: 50 on, 10 recovery. Go through each exercise consecutively. Then take 2 minute break to stretch and get water. Do entire set of exercises up to 3 times through. -Double arm pull -tricep push down -chest fly -breaststroke -single arm -gorilla -windshield wiper -shoulder abduction, adduction (beginner 10 reps / intermediate 15 / advanced 20 each arm).

Just wanted to say thank you! I’ve done these exercises 2x/week for the 3 months the pool has been closed, along with 5 min of rowing in between each of the 3 sets. I got in the pool yesterday and was super surprised that I was able to swim my 200 and 400 a few seconds faster than before!

Thank you for laying out some great exercises. If I can suggest that the tubing be on the same plane when you are doing the isolated shoulder exercises. If it is off then the torque comes from the wrong angle and can put a force on your shoulder that you are not looking for. I know it is hard to demonstrate and keep yourself in the picture. This comes from a swimmer regaining shoulders. Thanks again for the great videos!

I agree. Great advice. I tried to do that, but as you said, it was hard to get a good angle and didn’t have another eye to correct me. My sister is back and will help me film the next video. So stay tuned!

Small suggestion, to either lower the band anchor position or drop to the knee to give the resistance direction a bit more parallel to the intended rotational Movement direction. Referring to the last exercise.

Looks like a great workout! What is the resistance strength of the stretch chords? I am trying to find the right one have seen stretch chords for swimming and they range from 40 LBS for beginner and 80 LBS for advanced.

For the pull, wouldn't be better to keep a high elbow? This way it would be also improving the swimming form.

thank you for the video what about using normal Pilates band... I could l=not find like yours in the shop...can you make a video explaining how we can do the same exercise but with different "tool" plz.

Hi. Check out the links above to see some bands you can buy. If you can get to a Home Depot or other hardware store, you can make your own using rubber surgical tubing. just ask for a long piece and tie two off two circles at each end for handles. Or, you can google fitness bands and look for a pack of three. Usually the packs of three have different strengths, a light, medium and heavy resistance. The light one would work best. I like the pack of three because then you know at least one will work.

Which one are you using from SwimOutlet? It looks like the blue one. So the heavy resistance?

Hi. I am actually not using the bands from swim outlet. I am using just regular fitness bands. Just make sure you use bands that have LIGHT resistance. The exercises are meant to be fast and without that much resistance. Hope that helps!
