Hi i build this wood farm and even if its turned off it still lags because of the observer clock can you please put a piston with a Redstone torch to stop the clock if it’s unpowered that would help a lot

observer clock is slow use a normal redstone clock with the redstone dust, torch and repeater with a lever to turn it off and on

For anyone having issues with the tree tsking way too much bone meal...juat watch it...if it takes longer thrn 5 or 6 ticks break it and reset it. I manahed to fill up my block 11× 5 or 10 x 5 whatever it is on 1 barrel of bonemeal by just watching the tree

Is there a more efficient leaf crusher? The leaves grow like around the redstone and it takes a while for the actual tree to grow, I went through about half a barrel of bonemeal but only grew one row of trees and I think it’s because of the leaves being there

I built this on Bedrock 1.19.51 on a standard multiplayer world, and the redstone works great. However, my saplings wont grow, no matter how much bonemeal I use. What could be the cause of this? (I noted the other comment about block placement and double checked it, but I'm pretty certain everything is in line).

I made a quick tree farm from jc playz where you climb up and chop trees from the top down and added the dispenser to find out that it is apparently directional. So what I would try to do is make the dispenser w/the clock and test each side before building the rest. I had to move my dispenser 90° and somehow that fixed my issue.

IPad, iOS 16.6 Bedrock 1.20.15 - nothing will grow. I manually went through six stacks of bonemeal on one sapling before stopping. Going to guess the answer is no BUT…does this still work with 1.20.xx?

Less than 1 and a half stacks for a full barrel of bone meal. Tis quicker to go cut down trees, even with a zer tick bone meal farm.

Both of your clocks continuously activate from the observer seeing the piston moving either in or out. also top row of pistons do not activate without another row of redstone above.

I believe it's because spruce often spawns taller than oak, so it might take too long to try get a sapling

This beats chopping down trees because it's AFKable. I can turn on an auto clicker every 5 or so seconds. The only problem I foresee is I have to find a way to add a lot more bonemeal. EDIT... I changed the redstone clock in the back and added two double chests of bonemeal. Thank you ReytGood! now I have a nice afkable tree farm.

I just used this guide to build this yesterday on bedrock (3-30-23) on a realm server and it half way works if you give it enough time and break sapplings, i spent about a half a barrel of bonemeal on a stack and a half of wood. I started clearing out leaves and it would grow stuff more consistently, especially when they bunched up near the repeaters (i could just be trippin lol). I started breaking and replacing sapplings after i noticed it was taking a bit longer than when this video was made and that kinda helped but not really. A stack and a half in about 30 minutes is what i was getting. Otherwise the piston system worked perfectly moving the wood around and organizing it. Really love the idea behind this build and the leaf crusher and had fun building it. Hopefully there is a way to use this as efficiently as originally intended.. im gonna keep playing with it lol. I just double checked and I have everything built but I have a problem, the bone meal dispenses even when there is no tree there...on top of that, the bone meal doesn't go into the sapling when there is a sapling there. Any ideas?

Ur using a dropper. Use a dispenser. Dispenser cant physically throw out bone meal.

I have done everything right and all the pistons work, except the 4th layer of pistons and the 5th piston of the first few pistons you place, and when I placed a block infront of the observers it just keeping going in and out like a red stone clock, it will stop after a while but i dont know how to fix it. @@ReytGood Not all of it, and when you place the redstone it will like... connect with the piston if you know what i mean, like you can see it go into the piston but for mine it doesnt connect. If that makes sense

It's okay if they grow outwards, aslong as the main few leaves get crushed, so you can get saplings and there's enough room for the next tree to grow

It doest work as expected in bedrock. It takes tons of bone meal to grow a tree. I've spent 5 stacks of bone meal to gen 59 logs.

I must have made the leaf crusher wrong, because there's a ton of holes for the leaves to grow into that when patched causes the saplings to either not grow ot require a ton of bonemeal to grow into a tree. I still have to go in and remove the leaves manually.

The problem is that it uses around 44 bonemeal for 1 sapling and u could grow 1 sapling for about 1 or 3 bonemeal normally Or unless u have a skeleton farm then I recommend u use this farm a lot

Make a cactus farm and funnel the cactus to a composter then into a chest. Then use that bonemeal for your wood farm. You can stack the cactus farm as big as you want to. Doing that will increase rates

Just built this in a test creative world (had a few mistakes along the way but it was simply me misplacing/not placing something lol). Ran through an entire barrel of bonemeal, while occasionally bonemealing the sapling a couple times myself if it was taking a while to grow. Barrel + my manual stack of bonemeal on top got me 15 stacks of oak planks this shit is a cheat code 😂😂😂
