The players gave everything and there's no blame there but I question why Slimane didn’t start and maybe Trusty too, and the subs came on way too late to have any impact on the game. The premier league isnt just a different league its a different game. No doubt the refs are pally with long term prem players. Refs think they need to "teach" rather than ref. Multi ball system so balls come back quicker. Technical area code of conduct - Only one coach allowed to stand & more red cards. Then there's VAR. Booking for kicking the ball away. 10 minutes of extra time. Falling over gets you a free kick. All these things make it harder to be successful when a team and its players are new to them.
