He’s not a bum. He’s just not elite. He can’t hang with the top guys at 147. He’s in that second tier of guys at welterweight. He’s in there with Ray Robinson, Andre Berto, Jamal James, Luis collazo,etc. A mix of older guys and B level guys. He should probably try and test himself against a guy like Ugas.

krepsas, I agree. There’s no way Al Haymon would risk any of his fighters with a low reward top rank fighter. I think the only thing Kavaliauskas can do is try and get on the mandatory ladder with the other belt organisations. But he has to keep winning

Mean Machine is a solid puncher how do we know he couldn't sting any of the other Top guys in the division? We saw what he did to Crawford. For all we know Mean Machine probably has top 5 power in the division. I'm kinda hoping he keeps winning and gets ranked high in one of the other sanctioning bodies and earns himself another title shot. Also I feel Mean Machine vs Benavidez Jr. would be a very entertaining fight.... Especially if Jose has better movement in his leg.

It’s almost shocking that boxing has any fans left. The judging and the promoters are ruining it. So many good fights to make that we will never see or will see when boxers are past their primes. EK wud be a good matchup for many of those PBC guys but it won’t happen. As good as he looked, we probably don’t need to see him fight Bud again. So where does that leave us? Bud shud be fighting the winner of Spence/Garcia in the Next fight, not 3 years down the road. Way too much greed everywhere. It’s beyond annoying. Yes, most of us will keep watching, but the sport isn’t going to make any new fans in their current state, and sadly, it doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon. I don’t want to watch EK vs Bud again, it’s a waste of everybody’s time!
