Fans will create the entire planet of Nirn through Skyrim mods before ES:VI comes out.

I remember watching videos like this 10 years ago thinking “its gotta be out by 2018 at the latest right?” Lol

When Skyrim came out I was blown away and played non-stop for months. At the time I would have never guessed how long it would take for them to even attempt creating it’s successor. It was their most successful game ever at the time. Insane it has taken this long.

After fallout 76 and starfield I almost dont want them to release ES VI... I cant imagine a world in which this game comes out and its not absolutely trash

What we know: (1) Most of the senior staff have already left and have no interest in the project. (2) The ones who remain are Todd Howard which refused to do any advancement on any aspect of the engine and the Head writer who... wrote Starfield... nuf said. (3) Microsoft refuses to get involved which means no new advancements. So, personally, I'm not expecting a release worth mentioning.

The Elder Scrolls used to be my favorite game series and overall game universe since Morrowind. Unfortunately, I've lost all faith in Bethesda to provide a game worth playing. I'm much mote excited for Avowed from Obsidian, which will not only arrive sooner but most probably be a whole lot better than whatever Bethesda jumbles together in ES6

I think my last hope is that Bethesda go back to handcrafting everything, like they're known for. I understand why they went down the procedual generation route with Starfield, but to me, the whole magic of Bethesda game's is in the organicness of exploration. Like entering a tomb, and there'd be a corpse with an axe in his back, and a wriiten note. You'd then pick up that note and it would give you a quest further into a dungeon. Or reading a book about Red Eagle you found randomly, and then actually visiting his tomb and fighting him. That to me is what Bethesda's all about.

What I hope for ES6 1- 16 times the detail 2- take out all the npcs, make it multiplayer. Other players ARE the npcs 3- live service 4- lower the frame rate to about 25-30 fps 5- please keep some of the bugs and glitches from previous Bethesda games to keep its charm 6- I only want the game to be about 75% finished upon release date so the modders can finish the game for Bethesda at a later date 7- give me a voiced protagonist with less dialogue options and more illusions of choice rather than actual decision making 8- let me pay more money for a premium edition so I can play 2 days earlier 9- take no responsibility for any issues the game has and just blame the player base 10- instead of pc and council release just give me a mobile game - someone at Bethesda probably

Great video. Firstly, Todd Howard in the Lex interview said it's going to be in Tamriel, unless he was throwing a curve ball, no akavir 😢 I was really hoping for Akavir. Secondly, the trailer for es6 shows iliac bay to the right, which would make the land hammerfell. Also, in eso, that part of Hammerfell looks very similar to the trailer. I'm guessing the story will be based around the Direnni Tower and the thalmor, so maybe it's highrock as well. And if it is Hammerfell, hopefully a Yokuda dlc? Ty for a great video.

But as a video idea, maybe talk about the creation E 2's new mechanics and how bethesda could use the new tech for ES6. An example is ship customization or deeper RPG mechanics. I think Hammerfell would be a good location for ES6. It's only a bit larger than the lands of Skyrim and would provide more than enough room for vanilla content. Expansions into High-Rock, back into Skyrim, or into Western Cyrodiil could come later or with mods. I feel like it's going to be Hammerfell aswell because there were a lot of dialogue with redguards in Skyrim about the current internal strife taking place in their country with the Empire, the Redguard factions, and of course the Thalmor that now occupy the southern coast. I could also be wrong and they could try and bite off more than they could chew and give us Cyrodiil, Hammerfell, and High-Rock. I feel like we will get to play through the conclusion to the Thalmor wars in ES6, and that war would be more than just a local conflict like the Skyrim Civil War. I just hope they do it well whatever they decide. They've set up the 2nd Great War really well in Skyrim, would be a shame to slip and fall at the finish line.

We'll see how it goes, we got plenty of time to think about the game ^^ But having ships would be awesome honnestly. Also releasing the Creation Kit for Starfield would be nice, but I'm afraid it's gonna take a while

Creation Engine 2? More like Gamebryo engine 3. This means ES6 will be beyond outdated by 2028 or whenever it releases. We'll be still looking at loading screens when going inside bigger buildings and dungeons. Meanwhile current games can switch between dimensions and shiz without a single loading screen.

So the trailer shows the coastline of Hammerfell. So my guess is that its going to take place there. But I really hope that it isn't just that country alone cause that will be very boring walking around a desert/rocky desert. I hope that they put Highrock and Hammerfell together and possibly some of the High isles as DLC later on. Cause 15 years of waiting and we get a desert right after Starfield space desert simulator. oof

I don't know I'm happy to hear that it's only been in development for 6 months now. Maybe that way Bethesda can learn from the utter mess that is Starfield and maybe - for a change - NOT repeat their mistakes. I know that's hell of a lot of copium but a boy can dream.

Elder scrolls vi is probably going to release on ps5 (or 6 at this rate) as seen by microsofts recent change in plans. They know full well they will make more money from cross platform games than they will from exclusive console sales, especially considering that these companys sell their consoles at a near loss.

Considering the possible rumor that Todd Howard is no longer allowed to interfere in development, correct me if I'm wrong, it may be likely that Elder Scrolls VI will possibly be more intuitive and possibly return to its roots between either Oblivion or even Morrowind. These are little hopes and highly unlikely, but one can only hope. With regards to my statement at the beginning of this post, I'd heard from a friend that Todd was not allowed to roam the development floor like he used to, and some employees who were aware of this reported him to superiors and he was reprimanded, or at least something similar to one. That's what I'd heard, just to clarify, but I haven't seen any articles relating to that, so again, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm genuinely not 100% sure that's even the case.

I hope what we get is where the player character is more grounded in powers,so far we’ve had chat that have either became gods or a semi god I would just like to be able to have a game as a “civilian” with a more open path for role playing opportunities, and rich lore. Personally I think the next elder scrolls game should be focused around all races and factions of Tamriel uniting against a common threat like the second invasion of Tamriel. I think it would be awesome becuase it opens roots for rich lore and role playing opportunities, and we can have access to new races from akavir

Lisa Pendse, Vice President of marketing for Quantic Dream, told IGN during a recent interview at the Tokyo Game Show that while the studio wants people to know this is an action-adventure game, it will still have ''all of the elements that you would come to expect and want from a Quantic Dream title," including ''intricately branching narratives'' and the ability to play as different characters. Another key element is that no matter how badly you screw up or who dies, the games story will keep on continuing. Todd Howard and The Elder Scrolls 6 Team should introduce this feature into the Elder Scrolls 6, but they should also tweak this feature up a bit so even the main character can die and the protagonist can die and the story will end there and that will be game over. Once it's game over a new story will start with a newly created character and the player can create whoever they want and forget the vanilla main storyline. That means once it's game over that the player can continue the game and do whatever they want without any disturbances and forget the vanilla main quest line. That means the player can play by their own rules and ethics and can even break the game like they could in Elder Scrolls 1: Arena and Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall. This feature should be a non essential feature in both the vanilla start and the alternate start. In the vanilla start the player has to be whoever they decide they are and they should bring back a feature from Elder Scrolls 1: Arena that lets the player abandon the main quest line and turn down the quest given by the quest giver. That means the player can run away from their destiny just like in Elder Scrolls 1: Arena. Everything should be non essential just like in the Elder Scrolls 1: Arena including quests and quest items and Everyone should be non essential including children and quest givers. Another feature they should include is the feature from Daggerfall where the player can talk to deadra, including deadra minions, deadra followers, deadric princes and deadric gods. This could lead to taking quests from all kinds of deadra including side quests. Taking these quests from all kinds of deadra and completing them can lead to getting rewards upon completing them.

I just hope it will be better than Starfield 🙃

Hoping the locale will be hammerfell, high rock, and considering Hammerfells conflict with the Somerset isles, and the idea that there may be a some kind of nautical element to the game due to hammerfell bordering the coasts. I’m hoping they squeeze the isles into the game as well!

I just don't want to wait for a 7th elder scrolls game to come out when I am in my 50's. I'm 33 this year. Skyrim came out when I was 20.

I was really impressed by how nice and well written game Elder Scrolls 5 were... The main story line and the side quest were really impressive. I loved the game the day i started playing i used to play it in my cousins laptop. I wish i could play Elder Scrolls 6 but i don't know if i could even play it in my PC and i hope i will be able to buy a better PC by the time it releases. I definitely would love it if ES6 will also be able to be played in a low end PC so that i would have to spend money on buy a better PC😂

It is actually crazy that I was 10 years old when Skyrim dropped and I;m finna be 27-28 when the next game drops.

I just hope it's a good game, and is as moddable as Skyrim LE. I'm looking forward to it, but I'd like for the developers to be given as much time as they need to make sure it's right. Don't rush it to release, if it takes a year or two longer to get it right, fans can live with the delay.

I'm inevitable biased in favor of bethesda, as the first game i played from them was skyrim, and has become my favorite game ever. By all means, every single part of the game is flawed, and hardly any of them being fixed is quite disappointing, bar the special edition upgrades. But i do find value in the modern BGS games, while every new game follows the same formula and is recognizable from game to game, there are things being innovated upon and changed and added, maybe not executed as well as they should but just the fact they're not doing the ubisoft of releasing the same game with just higher resolution textures is a point of note. Of course creation engine has it's issues, and it's not because it's "old". By the same logic unreal engine is 20+ years old as well. It has it's drawbacks, it has it's benefits. Majority of AAA games out there use proprietary engines, because it's a lot more helpful to have a focused set of tools for your project. Not to mention the modding capabilities are something rare few games get to have, if at all. And even a game like starfield, which in my opinion was set for failure by virtue of being a grounded fantasy space game (which is a close to impossible task to nail down), a game that took me 50 god damn hours to realize "exploring planets is a huge waste of time", and that doing quests is the only real fun in the game. I still find value in starfield. Some of the story and character writing is genuinely really enjoyable, the weapon designs are awesome, the ship building system is something you'd never imagine being possible in creation engine yet it works so well, the perk and dialogue systems are in my opinion the best out of any BGS RPG. While starfield is horribly structured in core systems, and it's hard to recommend, there ARE good things in it, even if those things only make me look forward to them being added in TES6. To close off the controversial rant, if anyone bothered to read through it, i'm personally looking forward to TES6. I hold elder scrolls to a higher standard than i do fallout or starfield, because TES is a franchise i'm actually invested in deeply. I haven't lost hope in bethesda, because with all the issues they have and the lack of polish in their games, i still see them doing a lot of good stuff, be it employing modders or letting people that do enjoy their games, have a better experience through modding, which most companies don't ever endorse or openly allow. that being said, if TES6 does flop which could very well happen, then that would probably be it for me simping for Todd. TES6 is the final straw.

After Fallout 76 and Starfield I am very worried about this game. (I didn't buy either one of them) If it is a whole lot of nothing like Starfield and lacks interesting NPCs like Fallout 76 or contains paid mods like Skyrim has updated into, the game will fail. Elder Scrolls 6 must knock it out of the park in quality or Bethesda is doomed. I use my console for cheats and download free mods to keep things fresh. If I can't continue to do this, I have no use for the game. I refuse to download paid mods. Mods can introduce bugs and I'm not paying for that. Also, can a paid mod be removed, and your money refunded if it sux? I doubt it. I also find the quality of paid mods to be less than most of the free mods I have used. I'm an old lady now and I don't even know if I'll still be around in 2026 given my current health, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. In the meantime, I'll keep playing ESO for my Elder Scrolls fix.

As glad as I am that they seem like they're trying to take their time with ES VI, I do wish they had started working on it sooner rather than releasing Skyrim 17 times over the past 13 years. And no, that's not an over-exaggeration. Maybe there's been stuff going on behind the scenes for all that time, and I'm glad we'll likely be getting it at the quality we hope to, but honestly I am a little scared for it BECAUSE of Fallout 76, Starfield, and the whole Bethesda attempting to take money from the creators and demand money for mods which were once almost entirely free.

I feel like they teased tes6 at a perfect time. I remember seeing Todd walk out on that E3 stage like a rockstar and announced it alongside Fallout76 and Starfield. Everyone lost their shit to all three announcements, which made sense as Bethesdas hype was at an all time high before Fallout76 stomped it out But today? After Fallout76 and Starfield, hell without E3, if they teased tes6 this year or next year I feel like most people wouldn't be as excited. People are already showing concern for this game we're probably not seeing for another five years

If this game does come out, I’m afraid it’s not going to be what people expect….(they really need to change their game engine, it’s so outdated…) I just think the creation engine is so outdated and unreal engine can do some really incredible things when it comes to graphics, realism, and gameplay.

Seems like they have a winning formula with the Creation Engine, however, I personally feel that if they stick (which they will - its been confirmed tes6 will be on creation engine 2) with the same old engine with a new skin the game which we waited for 13,14,15 years (however long it will take), we will be sorely disappointed and underwhelmed compared to other games coming out at that time. I feel that mods are partially to blame for this since creation engine has proved to be extremely compatible with mods, and mods is what keeps the players entertained for years and years. Also, I feel that mods and the modding community as a whole give Bethesda a false sense of security e.g. 'Sir, our combat feels janky and animations stale... Don't worry, the modding guys will fix that, lets just focus on making as much money as possible'. I could keep going but got bored and realized nobody will probably read this half way through ahaha, but yeah this is what I think anyway.

I have faith that Bethesda will actually do good on this one! Only reason I say this is because the elder scrolls title is their only hope at saving the company and with Microsoft knowing that as well I don’t think they are willing to let the company bottom out when this game could save it all

well, about game engines. . it depends on how good engine is. . . Creation Engine as we can see in TES and Starfield now is a wood log. If Creation Engine 2 will be somehow good as RAGE or similar to UE in some aspects, we can be happy, and not afraid that the game is bugged as f, or graphics are worse.

As a big Skyrim fan and modder, Skyrim blew me away - 12 years ago. I played Starfield to the end and it was Skyrim in space. If TESVI uses the Creation Kit/Engine - AGAIN, I'm out.

I pray to God they release it without major bugs. Skyrim still to this day has some bugs and that's okay. But game breaking bugs are a different story.

A more up to date version of the previous elder scrolls game would be good too. Or maybe they can be linked up to deal with all of the major problems and get things sorted out and running as they should be. I really liked Oblivion- Game of the Year version too. And the latest version of Skyrim is really good too. But in it, there are some problems that can’t be dealt with. Like the evil deceitful Maven Blackbriar. There should be a quest to get rid of the evil dishonest woman.

I just want it in VR like Skyrim. There is something to be said about being in the elder scrolls world rather than see it in 2d on a computer monitor. I play both Skyrim and Fallout in VR.

I half expect Bethesda to be remaking Skyrim in parallel to ES6

I’m ok with the devs taking as much time as they need to make the game as good as it can be. That said, the game is slated to come out 15+ years after Skyrim so I am expecting an essentially perfect game.
