Нормально дружат медь с алюминием. Просто надо использовать герметизирующую смазку. Раньше просто солидол, сейчас кварцевые. Есть ВАГО и СИЗы уже со смазкой для соединения меди и алюминия.

Stay away from electric stuff

@@Azaerel If you do this you would have two different metals in contact. You make a battery by the reactance of two metals to each other. Also solder and copper have different resistance. Lots of weird stuff will transpire in that connection, better to have a connection that is invisible to the flowing current.

Когда в сарае, подвале, на чердаке, на складе без освещения делаешь какой-то электромонтаж, то нужно быстро сделать себе свет. Особенно зимой нужно все делать быстро. Потому что пока снабженец привезет из магазина светильник это может полдня пройти, за это время ты уже все работы сделаешь и получишь деньги.

As I mentioned, I'm not speaking to code and my comment shouldn't be taken as speaking to all aspects of the video, or "how electric work is done." With that said, twisting a wire in such a way it makes a better connection to a terminal is very helpful, as are some other tips in here. But yeah for sure, use caution when you do your electrical work, or hire a licensed electrician. I do some DIY stuff in my videos and I'm about done on motor restoration to post soon, but always safety is a priority as well as doing a good job. Let's check it! Take care 💯

You've got that right , For example those T tap connectors I would never use for splicing a wire , For example when I have to make a splice in knob and tube wiring , I carefully strip the existing wire and wrap the wire I'm adding on tightly around the existing wire and then solder the connection , Afterwards I'll wrap it up with splicing tape than finish it with Scotch 33 electrical tape Another thing that when I connect stranded wire to a lug terminal , Instead of smashing a piece of copper flat and trying to wrap it around the wire , What's much better and easier is I'll take a piece of copper tubing , Cut a small piece and slip it on the stranded wire and then crimp it on so it's good and tight, Then make the connection to the lug Now for those large crimp on ring terminals I would use the proper terminals for the wire size and not try to make a terminal by smashing down a piece of copper tubing because the part that's flattened down may not be thick enough to handle the amperage and also use the proper crimping tool I am very strict when it comes to electrical safety and don't believe in "Jerry rigging" anything , For any electrical installation Using the right connectors and the right tools for the job is an absolute must This one time I was replacing a receptacle and cord for a clothes dryer and the idea popped into mind that putting a piece of copper tubing on the stranded wire ends and crimping it on definitely protects the strands from damage when connecting the wire to a lug terminal which also keeps the connections from overheating because direct connecting stranded wire to a lug terminal will have to be retightened periodically because compared to solid wire Stranded wire direct connected to a lug terminal is known to come loose over a period of time and by crimping on a piece of copper tubing to the stranded wire end The connection stays tight , using a cordless drill is ideal for twisting wires together but I never use a drill for putting on wire nuts because you can very easily overtighten them , Another thing I do is when I connect 3 or more wires together with a wire nut is I'll put a zip tie on the wires just beneath the wire nut to help keep them tight in the wire nut , Another thing is those Wago connectors I don't really trust them for a tight connection They're fine for temporary connections such as light strands that's used in construction but not for permanent connections

You got that right , Especially when it comes to electricity because of how dangerous it can be , Not only does it shock people but it can seriously cause severe internal burns which can result in losing fingers , limbs etc, Not to mention causing death , It can very easily start fires if the work is not done right I realize how very important it is to do every electrical job right which is a big part of respecting electricity and I definitely don't believe in cutting corners and for something as dangerous as electricity , You can't afford to , I myself almost died from electrocution when I was 10 years old when I went to turn on a floor lamp in the living room , Nobody told me about the lamp being defective and I feel to the floor , Lamp and all , I can about swear that God came down from his heaven and got me loose from the shock Our next door neighbor who's an electrician looked at the lamp and found one of those tiny wire strands from the cord was touching the metal part of the lamp which made the whole thing a live wire and he explained to me about why I got such a bad shock , He showed me what caused the lamp to become a live wire and how shocks occur and how to avoid touching paths to the ground , After the accident I started becoming very interested in electricity and our electrician neighbor began teaching me about electrical safety and respecting it , That awful experience definitely taught me a lesson in not cutting corners when doing electrical work because I always think about what it can do to you every time I do an electrical job Thanks also to our electrician neighbor He was a huge help to me to overcome my fear of electricity and I sure learned alot from him and I have several electrician friends who have given me valuable tips as I was learning about electricity and I tell them what kind of installation I'm doing and they gave me even more valuable tips to help me do the job right and I have always thanked them very much for it , That's just one of the reasons I am very strict about electrical safety When it comes down to brass tacks , No matter what you do , Safety is a definite must and always priority one and there is no such thing as being too careful

"Hack" doesn't necessarily equate to code violations. They're just different and more efficient ways to attain the desired results more quickly. My Robotics teammates would always yell at me for handling builds with "unorthodox" methods/solutions, but we always ended having a top tier functioning robot to kick ass in Comp. People often look at a different way of doing things, and immediately rule it out as something legal. Just because it's different doesn't mean it's wrong.

Agreed ! I have used a knife to strip wire in a pinch but have to be SUPER careful to use as light a touch as possibles so as not to score the conductor. I cringed when seeing all the knife based wire stripper “hacks”. Basic wire strippers are not that expensive

Copper pipe may be of different alloys than electrical wire. Anytime there is a connection point of different resistances, some amount of heating may take place. It's best to use material approved and recommended for electrical use.

They pretty much all suck. Clever sure, but good? No. This seems like stuff I would have done when I was 16 after my high school electrical 1 class. I stopped watching after the conductive pens. Yeah it works, but you would never do that, that's like running bare conductors just attached flush to the ceiling. I want to see the person run their hand over that accidently with the power on. And most of these like the drilling holes in the screw head to twist wires, what you don't know how to use a pair of linesman? Or is it you aren't physically strong enough? So many unnecessary things, split a nut in half with a grinder to put in a vise to crimp with, sure use tools that are 2x or more expensive and the time it takes to make that instead of just getting a crimper for 15-20 bucks at harbor freight or any home supply store.
