ELECTRICIANS TIME IS MONEY - FASTER LIGHTING INSTALLATION

The JCC Lighting Radialed Rapid claims to be two and a half times faster to install compared to similar LED bulkhead lights.
So we decided to buy a similar LED bulkhead light from a well-known supplier to the trade and DIY.
So for our lighting installation, we put our resident electrician speedy Gaz to try them out.

Ive been fitting loads of these at a community centre... Its great that the bezel does not screw on so can be used with conduit. I have also used the microwave sensor for outdoors.. Because of these lights and the customer loving them it has generated loads of extra work replacing even more old light fittings with these. Just ordered a black eyelid fitting (Was more difficult to find a supplier who sells this) for a staircase leading to a stage where they want the light to go down and not up so will be fitting it to the wall. I love that the 12w/16w/24w are all interchangeable, I ordered some 16w which were a bit to bright for the area, so ordered some 12w for another area where I needed 16w and will be swapping them over without having to take the fitting apart. Very reasonably priced also... There is a bit of knack to getting the bezel on and off and you guys make it look way easier than me (Could be me making a meal of it) thanks guys its because of your earlier video I have been fitting these as well as the jcc skypack QR light fittings and the knightsbridge self testing emergency lights, because of your videos and learning about these products I have got loads of extra work as the electrician with the smart affordable solutions... Keep up the good work guys..

I fitted five of these recently in small medical practice, I had to be in and out of each surgery room asap these lights are really good and the ease of install made all the difference, I like how it’s disassembled in the box first, all lighting firms R&D take note, this is how you need to design your fittings. 👍🏼

I've fitted quite a few of these recently on a couple of different estate lighting replacement jobs, and there is a lot to like about them.

They do look like a nice fitting compared to the other one. I personally don’t worry about time I would rather use the fitting that I consider the best and at the end of the day it’s the customer who’s paying for my time what ever fitting I use

Fantastic, I do like those lights I have one in my bathroom and one in the kitchen not the same brand but the same design . Gaz why why did you use two different automatic cable strippers ? , why not use an Allen bit in the Drill or a ratchet screwdriver? ..

You should try to fit a thorn lara compared to the jcc. I fit these for my work and think they are actually quite good.

Why has the advent of LED created the end of the user-changeable lamp? From a specifiers point of view, I want a fitting that has a removable lamp that can be replaced by a resident as a consumable item rather than needing to call for an electrician to replace the whole fitting.

... i feel like what's shown as the old style is something from like the 1980's cause I've been doing electrical installations since like 1999 and I've never had to unscrew the front, everything I've installed has either had a slot for the front to slot in, or 3-4 holders you just twist with your fingers and take the glass out easily. And EVERY SINGLE ONE I've done came with all hole drilled and line connectors. This has to either be a British only thing or some such nonsense.

Fitted loads of these, the bezels can be a bit of a ball ache, but other than that a great fitting, if memory serves me right, all the different wattages are the same size ? whats with using 2 different strippers? points off for that Gaz .. a hacksaw is your friend with those allen keys , cut it and shove it in a drill driver :)

Because I'm old and I can't remember the name there is a manufacturer that markets their light with the phrase, " Time in a box " and I have installed loads of those

Why they still making stuff with short arse Allen keys, even IKEA upgraded there ones so there longer ok it's just a bit of plastic that slips over the Allen key but it does help, why don't others do this
