Fantastic final. Sabalenka was the only player who could've beaten Rybakina on this night and I'm so glad she came through. Aryna has been consistently performing at the top for a few years now. This title is long overdue and so well deserved. Well done Aryna. 👍

There are flaws in her game, but she is a very smart lady, and I bet she is ironing out any obvious weaknesses. She will surely improve and will be competeing at the top for a very long time. I think Sabalenka has also worked out her own game, and is also now a major force. And both are such nice people.

At the beginning of the tournament, I was more concerned about the state of the women's game - with Barty retiring, Osaka taking a break then getting pregnant Swiantek unchallenged , Halep suspendedand Jabeur, Rybankina, Murguruza and Zheng and others who have legendary level skills but wildly inconsistent at time it seemed as though there wasn't much to hope for. Instead we see the most consistent male players injured or all beating up on each other, paving a ridiculously easy road for Djokovic a boring men's final and one of the best women's finals literally in ages with high level and great shots from start to finish.. *shrugs*

The Kenin vs Muguruza final was very good at AO 2020. Kvitova vs Osaka AO 2019 was also good. We all know what happened in 2021 and 2022. 2023 was a continuación. You need to watch those matches because obviously you haven't unless an age is 2 years for you. Halep vs Sharapova was the last epic 3 setter at RG 2014 but RG 2018 with Sloane and Halep was high quality. Muguruza vs Serena was good the two times they did a final. Also, Djokovic never has easy finals. He just makes it look easy because he is the greatest tennis player who ever lived.

Very interesting final match. High appreciate for both player. Elena almost win the final. I see her serve is so excellent and her swing is very nice (like Tijana Boskovic in volleyball). But in driving the ball, its direction relatively can be predicted. If She can improve it, I believe She could be a queen of tennis.

@@Syd7088 sorry to say it, but ALL of Djokovich's games are boring. His records speak for themselves, but his brand of defensive, baseline ball bashing has ruined the game. All younger players are conditioned to that game now. When I want a tennis FIX, I look up Pete Sampras's old matches.

Hit, hit , hit as strong as possible They completely don’t think on the courtroom That’s why Iga Swiatek is superior tennis player comparing to those two She has twice as much grand slams then those two together With heavy hitters, there’s over hitting There was no top spins, no redirecting balls lock of movement on court if comes to Rybakina They both had only few impressive shots Is on the other hand has soccer style game Redirects ball, clears the field and then she attacks Her movement on the court is far more better then anybody’s That’s why, at age of 22 , she has 4 grand slams

Congratulations to the AO 2023 for keeping politics out of sporting events. SURPRISED to find the Russian and Belarus flag missing from the score board. Well, sometimes you could close your eyes and wish countries disappear and realize that, reality is different from voodoo. Rybakina was born in Moscow. AO smarties would have done well to have banned the Kazakhstan flag displayed on the score board. Long live Ukraine. AO smarties must have enjoyed the intense pain and suffering that Novak Djokovic exhibited after winning the AO 2023 championship.
