That first story is maddening! OP should have pressed charges on the evil mother, and felt no guilt about it whatsoever. And the manager deserved what he got and more! The cops should have been disciplined too! I have to ask, is OP a POC?

I don't think The husband intended to mean "i know she's ugly", but meant it like a "i've heard your opinions already, i get It, but this is The person that I love, so deal with it". It just came out in a way that understandably hurts. Im Happy he apologised and defended her :)

Why would the entitled mother be that crazy to get her kids involved in her crimes and the manager really didn't do his job and it was a good thing the manager got fired because he would've done the same thing later on working for Game Stop.

Story 1: I would press charges against the mother for false accusation, accused the manager for inappropriately behavior and the police officer for unlawful arrest.

As somebody who has worked at GameStop previously, I can believe the whole story and 100% agree with the op's decision to file charges against the store manager. I worked for that company for 2.5 years and I personally went through 7 store managers in that time. Some were great but the demands of the company, the hours, the pay, and the customers were too much for them and they found better employment elsewhere. Some however were in that category where you question how the f*** did they make it to manager! Seriously, I had one store manager that refused to stay for the allotted hours cuz I quote "If I'm gone too long my dog will destroy my apartment because he has separation anxiety." And all I could think of is 'have you ever heard of training?' 'have you ever heard of kenneling?' 'have you ever heard of just don't have a dog?' He had me opening alone on the day a new pokemon game released and I told him that I needed help cuz opening on a new game release, especially pokemon, gets ugly. As expected he did not show up and 20 minutes before opening there was already a line forming outside and over 20 online orders for this very game. I just called the district manager and they rushed over to help me once they were done chewing out this new store manager. He did not last a week.

That manager really need to reeducation to make sure to understand the consequences for not hearing another side of the story if a someone is being framed

Story 1 is an idiot for taking things so lightly. The second someone accuses you of something so horrible you DO NOT LAUGH ABOUT IT

1st story That store manager definitely deserved to be fired. He just randomly beleived tgat woman and nearly got the OP arrested and his life ruined.

Story 3: op did the right thing. my sister gained a lot of weight during the 2nd half and after the end of her first long-term relationship. It was bad. All of her oversized sweaters suddenly didn't fit her. It took our dad, who had been obese for many years before losing the weight after getting extremely sick (and had a longer recovery period due to the extra weight) yelling at her about how he was scared for her health to snap her out of it.

The third story really got to me. A lot of people don’t realise that obesity can kill you. I think the husband did the right thing in telling her what he was feeling and saying he was thinking about leaving her. Before anyone jumps down my throat not to long ago I was considered morbidly obese and my bmi was around 40. And even though I knew I needed to get healthy it wasn’t until my doctor say me down and said I was going to have diabetes by the time I was 30 would get heart disease, my joints and back would degrade to the point I would be in constant pain and I would end up taking 15 years off my life if I did nothing to change that I finally started to really work towards getting healthy. Now a lot of obese people aren’t obese by choice, either they have a medical condition that makes it impossible to lose weight or suffer from depression and/or anxiety and use food as comfort . I was both. But having someone to be honest enough to scare you can be the most important thing in the world. But also having people in your life that will support you while you try to change is just as important so I commend the husband in beings both of those things for his wife.

My youngest son is working his first job at Game Stop and just survived his first Black Friday. He loves the job but hates the customers.

If I was the original poster in the first story I would have done everything in my power to ruin the lives and reputations of the manager and the woman press charged against both of them both of them committed slander. I'm glad that guy lost his job and I hope he never finds another one

Honestly, I think the husband was doing the right thing in the 2nd story. He was trying to stand up for the op but like what happens to me sometimes, anger can take over, and your mind usually focuses in on one or a couple people. What I’m trying to say, is that I think he wasn’t really speaking what he thought for that one moment, he was speaking what his friends thought. English is not my first language sorry.

That last story hit close to home: my parents (specifically my mom) weren’t able to have kids and no surgery/procedure at the time could change that. They ended up adopting me, giving me a better chance at life than I would have had. I’m grateful for that AND that they told me from the beginning that I was adopted and why, rather than me finding out as an adult that they weren’t my biological parents.

If I was OP in the first story, not only would I have pressed charges against the entitled mother, I would have gone to a different location and gotten my games.

Sue the store, the police department, and the mother. If enough people do, they will think twice before lying like this in the future.

I've felt the same way about myself all my life and I finally found a amazing man who thinks that I'm beautiful but I've seen his ex's and I'm a little scared. But he reassures me everyday that I'm a beautiful person inside and out. The overweight tell her exactly what you said that you're worried about her health and the fact that she might die and you don't want to watch it happen and the other side about you leaving her.

On the first story, I'm glad that woman got arrested and I'm glad that manager got fired, because he does not need to be a manager anywhere at any time.

The 1st story always makes me boil. Situations where people believe the female immediately before even hearing the male’s side of the story, or even worse not even look at the obvious (sources of) evidence, really scares me about how easily one could get away with it.

The first story absolutely infuriated me. I an incredibly annoyed by people who think that you have to stop playing games as a kid, like screw off! I can play till i'm 1000 years old if i damn well please. And that cop should be reported and places on leave, he was fully prepared to have the OP arrested without a proper investigation of the events cause "I believe her more"

In the first story, I would have A) pressed charges on the woman, B) told the manager I would be contacting Corporate and informing them of the situation, and C) filing a complaint/pressing charges on the police for their conduct; it was very unprofessional; they almost ruined a man's life, and deserve to have the harshest penalties.

I'm not sure why but hearing the first story about the video games at the part where OP gets put in handcuffs flared up my anxiety for no reason.

I feel for the second story but I'm annoyed that she went to strangers and went behind the husbands back instead of communicating first.

I would have press charge on the first story. The reason is, possibility that the children get pullout of her hands, she gets what coming to her and I admit to be a vindictive bastard when you wrong me the wrong way. Not saying that you saying me no to a request, more like ruining my life by deception or in the case of the menager being a complete idiot. OP shown quite the restraint. Last story - my girlfriend grew up in care and was bounced around a lot from the age of 7/8 to 12 when she got placed with her foster family she stayed with until she was 16 when her foster mum passed away said that blood doesn’t make you a parent, and not giving birth to that child doesn’t make you not the parent.

I just want to state that every single Karen who lies about things to get other people in trouble with the police, NEVER think to check to see if there are any cameras.

First story- guy should of pressed charges, secondly, reported the police for misconduct as they were cuffing without solid evidence and got them done- especially over something like that, good job the manager was fired as well

"Anyone can play games"? IDK, I have seen mostly middle aged to young adults play games all the time (platformers, puzzles, chess, cards, checkers, yahtzee, and best of all, gambling), and they fall into these bad habits and don't learn from them until they are older. Hence the reason why so many old people avoid these gigantic video game companies.

Story 1: I'd have pressed charges AND immediately returned everything. Story 2: Looks aren't everything. Personality is more important in the long run. Even if she is ugly, sounds like she's still the better person than her husband's friends' partners.

I was born with a cleft lip and have been made fun of my whole life, but i met my husband many years ago and he's always pursued me and told me he wanted to hang with me for the longest and then i gave him a chance and BAM, we're happily married with a beautiful baby girl!! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and love is only skin deep!!!! EVERY SINGLE PERSON on this planet is going to lose their looks!!!! Their face will get wrinkly and you're gonna get older!!!! It's how a person's heart is!!! Period!!!!!

If you know someone you love probably won't live to see a very important thing that a healthy person their age should be able to live long enough to see, always lead with that. I told my mom I was worried that if she didn't try to quit smoking, she'd never live to see my grandchildren. She started smoking at the age of 13, and she I'd 39. I'm only 15, and she already has a lot of health issues. She hasn't quit yet but it's been crazy lately and I dont wanna stress her out more. But she is gonna try as soon as things are less stressful. And I'll even remind her. I want her to live to see her grandbabies. I want them to remember their nana. My nana (my mom's mom) died about a year before I was born so I never even got to meet her, let alone remember what she was like. Nana was only in her 40's. She shouldn't have died so young but she was so unhealthy and made some awful decisions, and it killed her. My Papa Rodney, (moms dad) died a few years ago because he was morbidly obese and had a heart attack. So, like I said, remind people that you want them to live long enough for very important things in your life. It can motivate them. Also, HELP THEM.

The second story op need to finally accept that she’s ugly. Being ugly isn’t everything. She literally have such a nice husband. He telling all those thing to lift your self esteem. She need to be able to live with herself first. Maybe some therapy might help. I don’t blame her husband one bit. Personally I know I am not a 10 but I am content with myself. Well I do want eyes surgery since I was a kid tho but I don’t mind if I can’t have one. If she hates how she looks that much why not just have a surgery. Ik it’s not the best solution but if her looks effect how she think and her life that much then just fix your face cuz it seems like she won’t be able to get over how her looks mentally soon.

Honestly I wouldn't have let the cops put me in cuffs. I'd have just said "Cameras, check them before you decide what to do and possibly get sued for wrongful arrest," at least that way they'd have a fair warning before not doing their jobs...

Ok if someone makes false allegations against you, and the truth comes out and the police ask if you want to press charges, say ''yes.'' Not only is this woman a bad influence on her kids, but she could pull this stunt on someone and next time she could actually get away with it. At least if someone is charged for making a false allegation against an innocent person and it gets put on a record, it can at least discredit their testimony and statements next time. In a court of law, all suspects are innocent until proven guilty. In a court of law, the defendant doesn't have to prove their innocence, it up to the prosecution to prove beyond a reason of a doubt that the defendant is guilty. All the defense has to do it not prove the innocence of the defendant, but present a reason to doubt. So in this case, if Karen accuses someone else of a crime they didn't commit and it goes to court, the defense can point out to the jury that Karen previously accused someone else of a crime that committed a crime that was completely false and completely discredit her testimony. The point I am trying to say, if some falsely accuses you of a crime you didn't commit, throw the book at them. That you can safe someone else of the same fate.

I have a quick story I will call it “This is not fair” It begins in a place that has all sorts of stuff me and my mom and the rest of the few family i had went to this place so when i left that building my mom and grandma were nice let a lady go in front of them but she didn’t want to then she says something about the line.
