Welcome back to the podcast! This week Hans and Jason are reviewing the new InfiRay Outdoor Bolt TL35 V2 by iRay USA. We've tested and reviewed the very popular Bolt TL35 V1 in the past but with the improvements made to the V2 we wanted to take the time to offer our opinion on the upgrades and let you know how it stacks up against the former V1. This scope is very versatile, full featured and offers a great value for the money. Listen in as we review this optic and offer our thoughts on who it's good for.

*** Why Hunt Hogs? ***
Our journey into wild/feral hog hunting started like many others living in rural communities. We didn't start hog hunting for fun or sport... we did it because we had to. You see, hogs cause millions of dollars of damage and destruction each year in rural communities and our situation was no different. Hogs were destroying our land and that our of friends and family. The vast majority of hunting stories that you hear about on this channel are hogs, boars and sows, taken from family land... this problem is personal for us...

*** Why Hunt Coyotes and Predators? ***
Coyotes and Predators, similar to hogs, cause financial stress for many families in rural communities. Coyotes kill livestock, plain and simple. Ranchers have battled coyotes killing cattle since the early days of ranching and it costs them dearly. Cattle ranching is a business, the cows aren't pets, every time they lose a calf to a coyote those families lose a paycheck. Cattle ranchers hate coyotes just as much as Farmers hate hogs! We hunt coyotes to protect the livelihood of our friends and neighbors that depend on their cattle business to feed their family...

Mine came with 2 of the 18500 batteries. Question, are they rechargeable or disposable? If rechargeable, do they charge while inside the scope while plugged into the USB-c?

You will need to buy a charger for them. They do not charge in the scope

7:09 no way The V1 is way better. The V2 way too dark and looks like a cartoon. The V2 makes the target look like it has a Halo around it. Same with TH50 V1 and 2 . The main difference is the V1 focus image is a lot sharper

Not sure what to say but we have put multiple V1 and V2’s side by side for testing and there is 0 difference in any we have ever tested. InfiRay Outdoor confirms it as well, there are no hardware/software differences to cause a change in image quality. Any differences you might see could be from the normal variations in the components….display screens, thermal sensors, germanium lenses etc. While they are identical on paper their can be small differences between them do to tiny variances in manufacturing. We have many customers who have purchased both V1’s and V2’s from us and use them together. We have spoken to several of them, all confirm they can’t tell the difference when they look through them. This mimics our experience and trust me, we’ve handled lots of these scopes. We’re sorry if your mileage has varied? Anything is possible from one random scope to another, so I’m not saying what you have experienced isn’t possible, I’m saying it’s abnormal. Thanks for watching!
