@@flynnlivescmd I very much disagree, it doesn't take a lot of force to break your neck or get serious brain damage. Also I think I see a fence over the hill so he probably would have gotten less hurt if he just went over the side. But yeah he hit directly on his shin and knee, no doubt it got absolutely destroyed by that.

The surrounding area is high desert. The mountain is alpine tundra, which can be classified as a type of desert. I used to live there & then in the Mojave Desert. The Mojave is more humid than Colorado Springs.

Guardrail posts especially metal ones are an EXTREME hazard to motorcyclists who crash and slide into them, and this goes for skateboarders as well. In some places people have mounted initiatives to place panels below the main guardrail to protect motorcyclists. This causes a lot of severed limbs.
