Limmy’s definitely onto summat about people not wanting to admit that they can’t get with what’s considered to be normal for most folks and it doing them in mentally speaking. I’m only young but it really resonated with me. I’ve had me problems with mental health shite but it’s lingering stuff like feeling loads of pressure and self-loathing when doing simple things like calling people on the phone, ordering food, and even just being out in public sometimes, just worrying about how others see youse. Like I’ll just feel awkward like I’m not right in whatever situation it is and then feel bad for struggling with stuff that’s just like everyday stuff, you know. And I think it’s good to open up about it, he’s dead right about the feeling there and I reckon if we all talked about shite that makes us feel like that openly and created a good environment for anyone to open up it’d do a world of good. Ta man

What he's talking about is so relatable. I reckon many of us feel like this to different degrees, especially at the moment.The world's going to hell in an artic :). My personal theory is that we're basically still the Homo Sapien primates we've been for tens of thousands of years, but our own infrastructure and technology has evolved too far beyond us, out of our control. Leading to massive amounts of stress, anxiety and mental health issues for folk who otherwise would be totally sane and happy. The most powerful people in this crazy world are generally sociopaths and psychopaths... A lot of the time I wish we could smash the whole lot down, level it all, and make the Earth one big garden that we all just live freely in. Maybe I'm just an old hippie, but there you go. That's my two pennies worth, buried in a comments thread. X

You are humble enough to share what's getting ya down and everyone has demons so don't let that think you are not a good person. Doing what is easy and doing what is right are two different paths, it can be hard to be good but somewhere inside you know it's right to be good (even when the world is testing your nerves). You seem to have identified what you class as a big flaw for you, the zoning out while thinking. You know your battlefield which a lot of people haven't discovered their own weakness yet. If you can explain it to Twitch watchers I'd hope that Lynn can understand and respect such tasks are not best suited for you and to work together knowing each others strengths and weaknesses. Don't be afraid to be assertive, if someone is blasting you with info, ask them to hold on a second while you process that and try to conduct more business over emails. The world does seem fast paced, hardly anyone seems to listen anymore anyway so try not to beat yourself up over it. Dwelling on shit just seems to spawn more shit...and aye ya'r a bit fkin weird but I wudne av watched ye if ya werny. Plenty of good 'weirdos' in the world and ur still one of em.
@TheAlmightyAss3 роки тому
Humble? Everyone talks about mental health now. And now, the people who've been living with being dysfunctional and fucked up are being overshadowed by the rich and successful whinging about 'poor mental health'. One in four, apparently. Its a badge of honour.
@yorkysworld35813 роки тому
I don't think limmy is talking how you are portraying some of the main media stars who loosely say some glancing statement. This guy went into detail with emotion. If you can't resonate with that then that's your issue. Your whole statement comes across like you have a chip on your shoulder. I'm taking about one guy and you bring the whole of stardom into it. Plus no offence to Limmy but he's not exactly A list, he comes across more your average fella and yeah you could say that's his 'angle' but the point is I don't know any average fella sat in the pub talking about his mental health, if that's what he is trying to promote then I really don't see how that's a bad thing. Your argument that some people are suffering more because more people are saying the same issues seems ridiculous as you are disrespecting that individuals health care provider, their doctors and all their interactions trying to get help. Everyone will get treated on an individual basis, it doesn't matter how many people 'complain'. You will get the help you deserve. If that help stars by being told to go see somebody after a heartfelt chat with a mate that should be a nice thing.

I’ve felt like this for years. I go out of my way to avoid phone calls. At work when I had to take a message on the phone, I’d quite often not listen as I was writing down the first part of the message and hoped I’d get the gist of it, knowing the two people involved would talk later anyway. I’ve been unemployed for 10 weeks now, I’m bored, I have severe anxiety every time I go to the job centre in case I’m forced into applying for things I don’t want to do. Trying to be a happy smiley person, while inside my head the dimmer switch is turned all the way down. How do I fix this?

I wish people were this honest about mental health in America. If youre not applying "skills" and stuffing your problems under the carpet before you even have time to process them, then people will assume youre not trying. It doesnt matter if you say "maybe I need to talk it through and confront my feelings" because talk of self harm is always taboo, and self-criticism of any kind is a faux pas. Im not saying its perfect in europe or britian, but ive been in both therapy systems, and I felt less performative in the European system than ours.
