Lucas, for a few years I've been pitching the idea of a major motion picture about that 1969 contest, and I'm sure a number of ESC winners might want to appear in it. I'd love to cast Lena Meyer-Landrut and Mans Zemerlow as Paola and Tommy, respectively, and ALeksander Rybak and Duncan Laurence as two members of the orchestra. I'd also have Ilse DeLange as lenny Kuhr, Valentina Monetta as Iva Zanicchi, and Luisa Sobral as Simone DeOliveira. Now how can I contact Dexter Fletcher to see if he wants to do it?

I agree with you about France. The Netherlands not so much - it's my personal fav that year. I love her voice. Someone did a recent poll and Italy came top although the Netherlands were second. 1969 was a pretty good year overall.

I agree with a lot of your picks. I think France's entry was pretty bland compared to the other three that won first place. Siw Malmkvist is incredibly talented being able to sing in both Swedish AND German And although I was very unfamiliar with Tommy Korberg before I got into Eurovision, I do agree that everything he touches does indeed turn to pure gold.
