I had no idea Finland sent The Rasmus to Eurovision. I just had the video recommended, saw the thumbnail and went wait...is that? I used to LOVE them in high school. Remember their song In The Shadows? That was ICONIC.

Serbia being announced as the last qualifier, really made me anxious till that point. Last time I was so worried, was in 2013 with Greece, also announced last in the second semi.

I was really happy with how things worked out, but three things that disappointed me were: San Marino not qualifying (c'mon, Achille Lauro put on an amazing show!), France coming second to last and Germany being last.

To everyone saying that the Ukrainian win was not deserved: we would rather cheer and support some other country with us not being at war and our people not being killed daily. To all the nice empathetic people out there: we are waiting for you here next year and we are extremely grateful for everything you do and all the nice words!

Regarding those comments that say Ukraine win because it was a pity vote because of what’s happening over there right now. Even if it was a pity vote, is that so bad that this country has something to celebrate for now? That they have a reason to be happy? That they have a reason to smile? I know this is not meant to be a political competition and that other countries may have deserved to win instead but let’s give Ukraine a reason to be happy and proud in these tough times. For those who are criting the people saying "Ukraine just won because of the war" just consider this: The general consensus of the comunity for the ukrainian song before the war was between 11th and 9th place before the war started adn after the war broke it shot to first place and stayed there till the end, do you think this was because suddenly with no coorelation to the war people fell in love so much with this song? its possible but very unlikely. This song was in fact good but that doesnt mean this super bias and pity vote was fair and also theres a lot more meaningfull ways to help Ukraine other that have them win ukraine purely based on non song related affairs. Another point if i was the artist i wold be considering if people really enjoyed my song or just voted for my country because of the political and social situation

I‘m a bit pissed of at the ESC this year, Islands Hatari gets in trouble for holding up a Palestinian flag due to ESC not being political and Island gets fined for that. This year be like yeah sure were fuckin political lets all show that we stand with Ukraine… sure different situation in the countries but still… Yeah not political!
