This video doesn't have to do with the esc 2024 songs. Its a statistic video about the r/o of the first semi-final. The Percentage is how many times this SPOT was a qualifier since 2008 till 2023 (IK they host semis since 2004 but they separated them in 2008). Would maybe make more sense to do it 2013-2023 since before then it was completely random so a bad slot was more likely to completely screw you over

@@ESCGiorgiobefore 2013 the running order was done by drawing lots. Then in 2012 the season was opened with Euro Neuro first in SF1 and EBU execs hated it so much they got rid of random order 😂

#02 in the RO is known as the death spot because of multiple reasons. For example no country ever managed to win from that spot. But there are also other factors why #02 is the death spot

Not really. The reason why the qualification rate in the death slot is so low is cuz they usually put doa entries there (self-fulfilling prophecy). Last year they put Armenia (which was a good entry with chances of qualifying) 2nd and they got to the final. U guys will probably qualify, though maybe instead of being 5-6 in the semi u'll be 7-8

Imagine this: For the last decade (10 years), 3 out of the 10 entries that performed in the second place in the running order qualified. So the entry that performs this year in the second place, statically has a 30% chance of qualifying. In this context the song & country don't matter because it's pure statistics.

You can check at Eurovision world for instance on which place in the running order each entry had, and if they qualified or not. Like for instance spot 1 in the running order: 2008 Montenegro "Zauvijek Volim Te" (14th, NQ) 2009 Montenegro "Just Get Out of My Life" (11th, NQ) 2010 Moldova "Run Away" (10th, Q) 2011 Poland "Jestem" (19th, NQ) 2012 Montenegro "Euro Neuro" (15th, NQ) 2013 Austria "Shine" (14th, NQ) 2014 Armenia "Not Alone" (4th, Q) 2015 Moldova "I Want Your Love" (11th NQ) 2016 Finland "Sing It Away" (15th, NQ) 2017 Sweden "I Can't Go On" (3rd, Q) 2018 Azerbaijan "X My Heart" (11th, NQ) 2019 Cyprus "Replay" (9th, Q) 2021 Lithuania "Discoteque" (4th, Q) 2022 Albania "Sekret" (12th, NQ) 2023 Norway "Queen of Kings" (6th Q) And then you count. It's 6 Q out of 15 total, which gives 40 %. And so on.
