Respecto a las artistas que mencionas, la calidad vocal no tiene un peso tan importante en una canción guste o no. Por otra parte, entre las canciones hay grandísimos artistas como Jamala, Marco Mengoni o Alexander Rybak y también artistas que son bestias del escenario como Eleni Foureira o Netta. Bien haría España dejando de mandar sopranos a hacer gorgoritos y empezando a mandar a artistas que dejen a la gente con la boca abierta.

i am an italian girl and i explain. Italy has one of the most important european music festival which is the Sanremo Festival, from years and years. It’s a very prestigious and high talent music festival and every year people bring different styles of songs with innovations and big shows to talk about different themes, to innovate, to catch the attention and everything a music festival can be... the winner/rs of Sanremo can decide if they want to participate representing Italy at eurovision, but eurovision to be honest isn’t a high quality music festival because i’ve seen terrible songs also winning (“Toy” of Netta), stupid big shows with zero talent and stupid basic songs. Eurovision is also inspired by Sanremo, the history of the Eurovision Song Contest began with an idea by Sergio Pugliese, (1956 i think) of the Italian television RAI and then approved by Marcel Bezençon of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). The contest was based on the Italian Sanremo Music Festival as i said and was designed to test the limits of live television broadcast technology. In fact in Italy we don’t really care about Eurovision very few people follow it, because it’s not true talent or high quality except for some songs. The people representing Italy at Eurovision as i said can also decline the offer to participate because their goal is to win Sanremo, who cares about Eurovision that is just a side effect. That’s why in my opinion my country always brings high talent and beautiful performances, and stands out from all the shitty songs i watched of other countries with zero talent and just “big shows” and really stupid topics like “chicken song--> Toy, or the polish songs about polish women that looks like a porn😂 there is no importante in the true genuine talent, voice and charisma which are the main factors for a singer. We have to rember about old songs before UKposts. I think Dima Bilans song has many views but most of them till about 2008 was on difrent places than YT. So its really hard to say with 100% sure who has most famous video.

Anzi, penso che Sanremo valga molto di più dell'Eurovision... anche se si tratta di un festival pieno di scenette trash e poco piacevoli ( specie quelle con Zlatan e le varie gag di Fiorello e Amadeus). Oggettivamente, è molto più difficile vincere a Sanremo che all'Eurovision, specie considerando la mentalità media in questo paese... Ho visto alcuni festival degli Eurovision passati... e molte canzoni non avevano neanche un briciolo di originalità... a Sanremo c'era Max Gazzè ( Il Farmacista: una canzone molto insolita ma veramente interessante ), Willie Peyote ( canzone molto "catchy" ) e altri ancora. Molta più competizione... i Maneskin erano 16esimi e c'erano pochissimi voti a distaccare il primo dal 15esimo. Ansia a mille e tutto era possibile. Ho passato 3 anni a dire "azz, questi ragazzi... meritano davvero" ( penso questo anche dei Pinguini Tattici Nuleari ), e finalmente hanno raggiunto un grande traguardo! Altro che Eurovision... l'unico aspetto positivo sarebbe la maggiore visibilità, niente di più. E, ovviamente, si tifa per i Maneskin... certo che ci sono avversari temibili quest'anno!

that’s because 1) it’s easier for them 2) Let’s be honest an English songs gives the singer a wider audience rather than just the country itself. And so this helps also understanding the lyrics and the real meaning of the song. So yeah I truly believe that songs in English>>> songs in Italian (and I’m Italian)
