I hated the Engelbert Humperdink song when I first heard it back in 2012, but listening to it right now I honestly quite enjoyed it. In the context of competition, it stood little chance, but as a stand alone performance, its not that bad at all. Bless him.

ESC 2012 my love! It's my first ever Eurovision year and I went on watching with Queen Loreen 😍 So many good memories

This is my first Eurovision. A local TV in Indonesia broadcasted about Buranovskiye Babushki and I was amazed, so I started to search and that's the way for me to know about Eurovision. Another facts, I'm amazed that Anggun also joined the contest and say "Terima Kasih" in the end of her performance. Terima kasih means thank you in Bahasa Indonesia. My favourites here are Albania and Estonia, but there are so many good songs. Standing Still was being used as a background music in a local TV here in Indonesia.

I still feel sad that Pastora Soler didn't win it. Just a marvellous song. Far better than the 10th place finish anyway

I remember first watching the final at a German aunt's house. Whereas my nieces really liked Roman Lob's entry, I was rooting for the Russian grandmas all the way. I remember being so happy with them coming 2nd, and Euphoria became the first Eurovision song I knew of, that played on the radio over and over for literally years. Actually, every year in the Netherlands, one of our radio broadcasters (Radio 2) organizes an event close to new year's eve where people get to vote for the 2000 best songs. Euphoria has been in that list for every year since 2012!

2012 is a very good year, the first since I have been following the Eurovision Song Contest intensively. Many talents performed then: Kaliopi, Pastora, Željko, Loreen, Nina Zilli, Rona, Ivi, Roman, Sabina, Maya Sar, Anggun, even the sweet Babuskhi. Yes a truly legendary year. My top 10 1. Cyprus 🇨🇾 2.
