One thing we don’t talk about enough is that the pressure she must have been feeling was enormous. I know she has bucketloads of confidence but knowing that your country’s government and broadcaster had been staking hundreds of thousands of euros on winning represents a pressure that most contestants don’t have to deal with (let alone an eighteen year old). Being bookmakers favourite 1-2 months before a competition is often a bad omen - and from there the only way is down. That said, she did slay

She's got an amazing voice but the problem with me is that the song was missing the eurovision vibe. Her song was very comercial, giving this diva beyoncé/lizzo vibes but we already have that and every single month there is a new song like that. I bet if this would have been an American context, she would have won. If we look at the top 5, only 1 song was in english and it was kind of quirky weird electro vibe and the rest was giving us some folklore/rave techno, a contemporary french ballad song and a very old school french edith piaf song and an italian rock masterpiece..and this is what i enjoy about the festival to see how artist can bring something cultural and variety each year. Loved ukraine and italy this year!!

Her performance was definitely impressive, but I can still understand why she didn't win. In my opinion, it was a good song but it felt too basic, too much like the music you hear on the radio every day. The eurovision is a celebration of the different cultures of Europe, and this song feels a little too much like every popular American song.

It's the management the problem of Destiny. She is talented, extremely talented, but treated as a commercial product. It is so desrespectful to her, they let appear her like the typical prodigious young star emerged from talent shows. She's been given a cheesy and banal song, catchy for sure but so commercial, clearly crafted just to be Eurovision friendly. Destiny doesn't deserve this, maltese people, let her time to grow and being more experienced with less pressure, she'll have a great career and hopefully she'll win Eurovision too.
