FINALLY! Someone who explains Jackson’s side. Edit: Now I realized all of them are red flags. Jackson for even suggesting to Summer to pretend to be his boss’ gf and forcing himself on her. Summer for getting emotionally involved with Aiden and flirting with him. Aiden because even if he found out that Summer had a bf he still flirted with her and still tried to kiss her and whatsoever. Aiden’s Stepsister, a red flag in every way. Aiden’s Family, forcing him to marry someone out of his will when he actually wants to be a singer. Everyone was a complete redflag, sorry if I wasn’t open-minded at first. i feel really bad for jackson. he was really stressed because it was his literal mom, and besides summer, she was all he had in life. when she was hospitalized he panicked and went to any length to try and save her. once she agreed he started too feel jealous (understandable) while she was doing the job. summers perspective makes it seems like all he wants is money, which is true in a way, but its to save the life of his mom. imagine the guilt and heartbreak he'd feel if he hadn't raised the money and she ended up dying. not to mention, he still has to live. its just him and his mom who can't work due to her hospitilization. he'd also have to pay for many house things that adults would deal with; a lot of pressure for a teenager. then in the end he loses one of the only good things in his life. summer was supposed to be there for him through thick and thin, when he was stressed and overworked, and when he's just joking and laughing with her on the farm. instead of helping him through the time and talking to him nicely, she just ended up arguing and left him while he was at the lowest point in his life. he was angry at the end because he felt betrayed. like he was going through all of those things alone with no one to help him. she was helped by raising a large amount of money yes, but gave no emotional support. he had the weight of himself and another life, his moms at that, on his shoulder. honestly summer seems like a great friend but shes not the best with empathy or emotional support. honestly this story gives me "traitor" by olivia rodrigo vibes- (from jacksons perspective of course)
