I am not saying it is THE greatest goal but certainly ONE of the greatest goals. And again, yes it was certainly a GREAT goal, which I am sure you won’t deny but I prefaced my comment by saying besides the incredible skill that it took to score, it’s also about the intensity of the game, the opponent being Liverpool’s biggest rival right now and that it was at an intense point in the game. It requires mental strength of and courage to be surrounded by 3 defenders beat them, that break the ankles of another then back yourself to take the ball onto the weaker foot and still score. I don’t see how you can take all the variables and still not think it would be one of the premier greatest goals.
