I just noticed when Light Hope says "thank you" her voice no longer has the computerized echo it has always had and just had even when she said "Adora" just a second before. Like in her final seconds before she vanished she had fully realized the personhood that Mara always believed she had. Idk maybe I'm reading into it too much, but it was an interesting choice.

Damn this series had so many likeable and complex characters, I was totally blown away. At the same time it felt like watching something from my childhood, yet it was completely new, refreshing and ground breaking in terms of LGBTQ+ awareness/normalization, body positivity, mental health issues and overall diversity of people. I didn't know how much I'd grown attached to shadow weaver, because even though she was power hungry, in the end, she did do something only one other person had gotten that much recognition for. She sacrificed herself. Hers and Angella's deaths hit harder than I'd expected to.
