Fun fact: under the ideal conditions, the longest eclipse last 7 minutes and 30 seconds Wich means this mad lad of a king took back his city in under 7 minutes What a King!

@@awais6710 Bumi, he is able to casually launch houses and has decades maybe even a century more experience than Aang. Not to mention his nearly unpredictable style.Yes Aang has seismic sense but Toph even stated that his earthbending needs work in the series finale. Bumi could likely beat Toph in the end of the series, but not Toph at her prime.

@@sandro5535 Given that he lived for more than a century, along with his connection to the Order of the White Lotus, he likely learned about the source of firebending (being the Sun) and hypothesized that an eclipse would do an opposite effect when it comes to firebenders.

@Lamar Jr to be honest even they may not be strong enough everyone single one of them was holding back against some of the strongest benders everyone else was fodder. Imagine a serious Iroh, Jeong Jeong, Pakku, Bumi and Piando vs Aang, Zuko, Toph, Sokka, and Katara. They all got beat by them going easy on them besides Toph who we saw fight Bumi in comics but it was still playful.

I don't think people comprehend how insane Bumi's earth bending is. His bending is to the degree that it's basically psychic levatation. Only the Avatar state has been shown to have this level of Earth bending.

Bumi is a walking example of why cities should and sometimes are made of material that their users can't bend- easy repair, but easy damage. In this case, a powerful earthbender like him can just take the whole city apart.

Fun fact: Bumi had no idea that eclipse deprives firebenders out of power, so basically he was ready to go full Kyoshi at any moment. Eclipse just made this a bit easier

Bumi was the only friend that Aang had from his previous life prior to being frozen in an iceberg. It's amazing how this crazy little kid grew up to be the king of Omashu and the most powerful earthbender of all time. He was literally taking buildings and chucking them at the FIRE NATION!

Anyone else realize Bumi can PSYCHICALLY earth bend by focusing? The only other psychic benders we’ve seen are Yakon and Amon. Goes to show that Bumi is in his own league

I like how the soldier asks "What do you think you're doing?" They KNEW Bumi could still bend. They KNEW he could free himself. They KNEW he could fight. They KNEW he could do ALL of this. But they DIDN'T know that Bumi is a mad genius and was just waiting for the perfect time!

looking back the whole point of bumi testing aang was to see if his childhood friend had mastered the elements the first test: getting the key from the waterfall was to see if aang could waterbend if not then it was to see his problem solving skills the 2nd test :calling flopsy was to see if he had the attitude of an earthbender and seeing if aang would stand his ground against flopsy and see that flopsy was actually a gentle giant the 3rd test was an agni kai minus the fire it was to see if aang was able to hold his own in battle or possibly even earthbend against bumi

The eclipse lasted for about 8 minutes. Meaning the ENTIRETY of the fire nation's forces who were stationed in Omashu watched Bumi pop off for less than 8 minutes and that was enough for them to unanimously decide that Omashu wasn't worth it.

I love in the retake of Ba sing sai Bumi takes out 5 firebender tanks on the day of sozen's comet. It took 6 earthbenders to take out one during the fire Nations attempt to drill through the wall

One thing i really didnt like about Lok is how they fodderized the white lotus. Like cmon this was the organization that housed some of the most powerful characters in the entire series you could have at least treated them with some semblance of respect.

I think the white lotus went into decline a decade or 2 after the ozai's defeat because, as u know, the senior member of the white lotus were all pretty old when they defeated ozai's army (Bumi was like 112), and I reckon they all didn't live for much longer. After their deaths there really wasnt anyone strong left. Poor leadership and corruption probably ate away at what little power they had left by the time korra came around. Try to think of the white lotus in LOA as a different organisation to the white lotus in LOK. For what became of the organisation in the LOK (it lost its secrecy and strength) they really didn't deserve much respect.

This is bumi at 112/13, so this is faar past his prime. He is probably the strongest earth bender in the shows. also, aang was able to do an airbending move here that it took all of the new airbenders to do in LoK

In LOK, Jinora and Opal alone create a pretty sizable whirl wind. The one the Air Nation did in LOK was a lot larger than the technique Aang does against Bumi.

It’s weird. Age doesn’t appear to have the same effects in ATLA, as both Bumi and Iroh are very strong at what appears to be elderly ages. It might just be a bender thing though, since Peondau claimed to be suffering from old age. I don’t remember ever seeing an old non-bender who has retained abnormal levels of strength.

Toph fights using seismic sense that lets her see how an earthbender moves and therefor predicts what attacks he is using. but how can she see Bumi's if he can earthbend only using his face? that would be troubling for Toph for sure. an interesting fight.

1:03 Bumi is a surprisingly fluid earthbender considering earthbending’s roots come from stability and holding your ground. I mean look at the way he dismounts the rock. Pay special attention to the rock. See the bounce when he gets off? Take note that this is one WHOLE rock and not several small ones compiled. It’s easier for earthbenders to use the several small rocks because they can bend each rock individually making it very flexible and overall versatile. Bumi can make a wave with a SINGLE rock. Talk about powerful.
