@@hpcarlos2255 as a die hard fan Lou messed up this off-season by replacing leddy and eberle with aging vets parise and chara, letting toews go in the 2020 offseason I knew was going to hurt long term, not saying the islanders need to rebuild but they do need to revamp at this point I’m kind of hoping they tank and land Shane Wright, they have great young pieces in barzal, wahlstrom Dobson and sorokin, as well as pelech and pulock (still injured). For the vets outside of lee, Nelson and pageau everyone else is replaceable, this team is too old and slow

I agree, neither Dallas or Montreal could really contain Tampa. Tampa just ran right over them the whole series. The isles put up a really good fight both times, it was all theirs to win

It’s so disappointing, hopefully we can play the young guys some more, we have a lot of young talent and I can definitely see us winning the cup in the future if we don’t next year or maybe the year after with some of the vets we have

Also I'm sure Tavares would have stayed in New York if Toronto wasn't interested but when the opportunity opened, how can he turn that down. I'm also saying that yeah he left, but what was he supposed to do at the time, management should have treated him better so Islanders fans want to boo someone blame previous management.

@@johnnyd1391 I became a hockey fan in 2018 so I wouldn't have known about us booing our own players plus we were very bad (can make the argument for the Islanders but at least they had a bit more playoff success). I'm guessing Tavares didn't request a trade is because I'm sure the Leafs wasn't on his radar until they became interested and at that point it would have been Islanders or Leafs. I'm sure he wanted to be an Islander for life.

I was at game 3 of the Pittsburgh and Tampa series. Despite the fact that we lost both, the atmospheres were electric, and the Barn damn sure rocked.

He was healthy during the boston series yet Trotz stubbornly stuck with Komarov on the Barzal line. I think if he switched Komarov out for Wahlstrom, it would've definitely made a difference in the Tampa series

@@takodahager4165 no it wouldn't have. You don't throw a rookie coming off a knee sprain cold in that situation. Puts him in a position to fail. We lost to Tampa mainly cause of Pageau's injury as well as not having Lee.
