There will never be anyone like Curry. He is so unique. He really is a once in a lifetime player. I've never seen a player demoralize a team and their fans the way curry does. Players like Jordan, LeBron and kobe, yes they will kill you and frustrate the hell out of you but when curry goes off you can see the faces and body language of the other team and fans. It's utter shock and disbelief. I always say a steph 40 piece hit different than anyone else's 40 piece lol

I really wish I could say this to every trae young hater - every time the hawks vs sixers series is brought up, they say “trae beat a scared Ben Simmons” or “an imploding sixers team”. NOT TRUE. The sixers were supposed to make a finals run. Without embiid, the sixers destroyed a team with two all stars in the first round (the wizards) and people said “if embiid doesn’t play, sixers beat hawks in 6. If he does play, sixers in 4.” This team had THREE all defense team members, the MVP runner up, the DPOY runner, and one of the greatest coaches in nba history who everyone said that season “fixed Ben Simmons”. That sixers team did not implode until AFTER trae was through dominating them. Trae didn’t beat an imploding sixers team - he caused a number 1 seed to implode and retool completely.

@Johnny-xj5qu2 місяці тому
Nah, the Sixers imploded, and Ben Simmons died that series. The evidence is clear, since then, Trae has done nothing to carry his team, and Ben has been terrible ever since. Nice try, not falling for your false narrative. Btw, if you know the game, you know Doc is an extremely overrated coach who’s teams regularly implode in the playoffs
@2436dan2 місяці тому
@@Johnny-xj5qu don’t “nice try” me. Narratives are all that have surrounded trae. What you are saying is what people were saying about trae LAST year, but this year people are realizing that it’s not his fault. The hawks have failed to build around trae after 2021. Trae is a playoff riser. The Heat series in 2022 was the Heat doing whatever it took to stop that very thing from happening. With Trae being the only threat, he was all they need to focus on. They didn’t mind giving up 35 to Deandre Hunter if if meant keeping Trae in check. Trae reminded us how dangerous he is against the heavily favored Celtics last year. Made it a series when it was supposed to be a cakewalk. So what if Ben Simmons hasn’t been the same? He was all nba and all defense before trae got to him. Not a coincidence. Whatever you haters’ problem is with trae is ridiculous. He is just trying to play and win.
@Johnny-xj5qu2 місяці тому
@@2436dan you are a Trae fan and not a realist. He’s not a playoff riser. He shoots 40% FG and 29.7% from 3 in the playoffs. You can’t lead a team to victory with those putrid efficiency numbers. Trae is a stat padder. He’s had years now to prove he’s that guy. He’s not, he’s a nice player but clearly cannot be the #1 option on a winning team. He needs to be a #2 or maybe #3.
@2436dan2 місяці тому
@@Johnny-xj5qu I don’t give a crap about efficiency. Nobody cared how inefficient Kobe was during his finals runs. You don’t have a right to claim that he’s not a 1 on a winning team when he already been that. Mind you he’s still 25 years old. He still has a lot to prove. If you’re just going to hate and not see that he performs in the playoffs (three playoff game winners at just 25 years old), then I have no reason to believe you are anything more than just a hater. I will always support Trae after, being a Kobe fan, hearing that Kobe’s daughter Gigi said that Trae was her favorite player just weeks before the helicopter crash.

Jimmer's career is absolutely a tragedy. He was too early for the new NBA, and was unfortunate to be on teams without systems that would allow him to develop. We just as easily could've been saying Jimmer rather than Fredette, but Curry was able to get to the right team at the right time. Funny enough, my game style was more sniper-ish but I got cut due to size as a freshman (very understandable). But if it were today, I would've been starting. Not a comparison, they're WAY better than me, but it just shows timing and luck make a world of difference. Curry anywhere besides Golden State would never have been able to become the legend he is today.

I will never forget the moment when my parents took me to the Jazz arena in 2011 for the draft announcements. We were all excited because we knew Jimmer would have a good connection with the state of Utah, & possibly help recover our then dying team with his shooting & scoring talent. Instead, we traded for 2 players that didn't even last us more than 8 years. Rodney Hood, a bust within a few years, & Rudy Gobert; an offensive handicap that after the first 2 Donovan Mitchell years, just flat plateaued in his skill set. My parents(my dad specifically) & I have never been that interested in the Jazz or the NBA from that point on. Jimmer was traded to the Kings, then the Kings organization fired their coach by Cousins' relentless requests/demands, the new coach started to bench Jimmer, then traded Jimmer, & were dirt trash for almost 10 years, even with Hield & Fox. They're better now that Fox has figured out his shot & decision making, & Buddy Hield is off the team for other players like Sabonis, but Jimmer got cheated out of possible opportunities because G.M's were scared of trading Cousins'.

Only Stephen Curry had the mental and spiritual fortitude to stick with it on a bad franchise, making the best of a shitty situation, and turning a losing culture into a winning one… Curry was used to being underrated (why he made his documentary) and being called small, under-sized, etc. Curry was used to being snubbed, counted out. He had to go to a small college, prove himself there and bring that school for the first time; to the Elite 8. Curry when he was drafted, you could tell he didn’t like he was going to the Warriors… he wanted to go to the Knicks… but fate would have it that the Warriors was the perfect landing spot… Patience is a virtue. Only Curry, after battling injuries, would have the faith to move forward, heal by the grace of God, and come back and work harder and harder, and though not a strong defender, work under the guidance of Mark Jackson to improve… Only Curry would be humble enough to accept an absolute steal contract for 4 years, that would allow the Warriors cap space to assemble a team that would eventually win a Championship. Curry took all the lemons that life gave him, and turned it all into lemonade - sipping it on hot June days after winning multiple NBA titles. Only someone with the character Curry has could’ve done this, could’ve accomplished this. Curry gives glory to God, so through God he, one of the smallest players, like David, can beat Goliath.

What people don't realize when laughing off the Dame and Curry comparisons is that they really are not that far from each other. Kyrie before his injuries and shenanigans in Brooklyn is also there. 3 excellent guards around the same size that are great scorers and good with the ball. Now Kyrie had the benefit of winning with arguably the best player ever and Curry has had the best front office of the three by a longshot. Hindsight is 20/20 but few teams have drafted that well and it ended up being perfect for curry. You could plug Kyrie or Damian in and switch the others around and theyd have likely gotten 2 or 3 rings as well. Not to discredit anyone, just pointing out that great team construction/competent front offices work wonders. Curry is the best of the three, but comparisons amongst the three are not unreasonable.
@HuyLe-wo3mb2 місяці тому
Nah not really. Steph is not just about basketball skill. Ky and Dame could score equally or even more but they can’t provide the same leadership, unselfishness, and gravity. I doubt that if they were the star in GSW they wouldn’t agreed with the KD trade
@torosdrydale39082 місяці тому
@HuyLe-wo3mb I'd buy the gravity and almost on basketball gravity but steph was not the leader of that team until recently. It was draymond. That's the only reason the "Draymond missed a game" bullshit was even something that could make a difference. Dame was most definitely the leader in Milwaukee however.
@HuyLe-wo3mb2 місяці тому
@@torosdrydale3908 well I guess your assumption of Ky or Dame having 2 rings with GSW would be from playing with their KD roster. I agree. But remember without KD, Steph’s first championship season he was back to back MVP (and unanimously). And also what he did in 2022 was crazy. Without KD in the team, you think Dame or Ky could do what Curry did?
@torosdrydale39082 місяці тому
@HuyLe-wo3mb To that extent no and yes you are right I meant with KD at the very least but that first chip Dame and KY are basically getting too. Remember the cavs were without Klove the whole playoffs basically and Ky was hurt in the finals and only played in one game. So realistically I think they win 3 each in Curry's shoes where curry has 4.

No one can even get near on Steph's numbers. There are promising newbies who are showing their skills for only a few times and then their talent disappear unlike Steph he is consistent and getting better compared to the other wanabi 😂😂😂😂

Too bad about Jimmer. I watched him in college when he was a kid, would’ve loved to see the nba use him more.

Jimmer was never going to be Steph or Dame, but he could have been a top scorer on a bad team, or a bench scorer on a mediocre one. The problem is, players like that are not plug and play in any given system. They have to luck into the right one.
