Immediately after watching this video, I laid down and snuggled with both of my dogs. To truly feel an animal’s love is one the best experiences in this life.

This is why I befriend animals over people. The friendship with animals are the best.

Interspecies connections are at times, incredibly strong bonds. So glad they were able to reunite and to ensure that their bond still existed. A wonderful day for both of them to connect once again.

I’m not surprised that Kwibi recognized the man who raised him; there have been innumerable, interactive studies done to show that great apes have a memory capacity which dwarfs that of humans, many times over. What did surprise me was how deeply connected he felt to the man who raised him & not only that he followed the boat all the way back to the lodge where the man was staying, but also that he had waited all thru the night to be able to see him again! Ultimately, the only way to construe what we saw is to acknowledge/admit that he (Kwibi) must still love him, deeply - which I find incredibly moving & extraordinarily beautiful! Clearly, humans aren’t the only animals capable of love, or any other complex emotion(s) & we should definitely stop thinking of ourselves that way … we all came from the same primordial soup!

He was probably so glad to finally prove to his family that he wasn’t nuts he really did grow up in the big city.

He watched over him during his stay at camp, as Damian had watched over him as a baby. They are family. That love will never die. Hopefully he goes back to visit him again.

Thank you Damiean for saving Kwidi from a baby and now he is in his natural habitat🥰. You are a human father to him👌💯, I can't stop crying how beautiful he was😭. You know it is so beautiful and to know that there are humans who do not love their children like me, a mother who abandoned me since I was born and now I am a woman, I got divorced, I had 2 children here in Costa Rica and I never abandoned my children, they are already exceptional students. Now my mother is looking for me because she is old and I took care of her for 10 years, but I didn't know that I had lost my memory of her since I was little, she broke my skull and I was in a coma. I ride a motorcycle and I hit my head, I had a concussion, I remembered everything that happened before, child abuse and more... what a bad mother, I tried to get over it but I couldn't, how bad she was to me. And I told her to leave my house, I can't have my mother around, because I already know everything and it hurts for her that something should happen to her, but it makes me very bad to remember what she was doing against my little life, I only ask her forgiveness. God but I can't live with her 😭😭😭😭

This made me cry, it just shows no matter how long has passed you never forget your friends.

The smell on Damien's skin brought kwibi to his then young memories of early days and yearned to go back into time. So loving.

Hugging is a sign of possession among gorillas. By hugging Damien, Kwibi claimed him as a son, and this act prevented other gorillas from attacking him. Many species of primate use hugging as a deterrent for violence. For instance, if two chimps are fighting one male may scoop up a baby to initiate a cease fire. Kwibi was likely protecting Damien. Its also incredible that they were able to lock eyes. Gorillas are peaceful by nature but you should never look them in the eyes, it's provocative. This was a lovely story.

Imagine the level of safety you would feel in that jungle knowing the leader of a pack of gorillas loves you and will protect you. Nothing is messing with that dude while his gorilla buddy and family are around.

My dog Happy loved me more unconditionally then any human ever has in my 77 years.

This is the most beautiful story. I had tear in my eyes. Animal's know if a person is good or not and they both loved each other so much, you could see it in their eyes. I don't think animals forget who took care of them and they show so much love. Beautiful.
