Some of the new higher frequency bands will be new to the mobile application - but, have been in use for many years in fixed wireless and satellite applications. Two completely different things. 5G means 5th Generation. 5GHz (in the routers you're referring to), means 5 GigaHertz. No it's not the same as living in microwave. You are really extremally stupid if you think so. I will try to explain it like for kids in kindergarten: Imagine you are inside a car. Now you are getting hit by housefiles one by one, lets say the housefly hit your car with speed similar to 0.1km/h, and it happens 1000 times. Now imagine that you got hit by car that was moving with speed like 100km/h. Do you see the difference? The same applies to wifi and microwave. The router emits the waves with power similar the 0.1W, while the microwave emits the waves with power higher than 1000W. If the waves are on the same frequency it doesn't mean they will blow your brain or something similar.
