4:01 fun fact: when you sell pooped gold bar you receive 6006 simoleons and it looks like "poop" upside down :D 8:58 talktive cats (and dogs) run to your sim and sing with him when he play any instrument 10:03 pro tip for roomba vacuums. If you noticed that roomba can't return to dock you can fix that by placing dock in place wher nothing is on the way - both side and above dock. So if you want to scoot dock somewhere near dresser or under painting - no chance, it won't work. It must have whole tile just for itself

Also, the Prowler Trait is quite useful for collectors. They frequently bring back Feather collectables. Once you complete the collection, you can assemble all 15 into a Sixam Owl statue (assuming you've kept at least 1 of each feather). If you have a second copy of each, they make a nice framed wall display. Each one individually can be hung up showing the feather and a profile image of the head of the species of bird they come from. A nice thing for Nature Lover Sims to hang on their wall. Additionally, you only need to buy a single packet of Catnip Seeds. Each pack come with one of all 4 plants. Catnip counts as a flower and can be stored in the Flower Arranging table for later use.

@@terang5189I actually can never do that, the cats I make in the game are completely different to the one I have. I’m scared I’d see her die in the game, I’m not ready for that. And yes, you can ‘inmortilize’ them but I play rotationally and something may happen, or if I play for generations it wouldn’t make sense for her to still survive, idk

Just found out two days ago that stray cats spawn in selvadorada! I’ll have to adopt one before my vacation there ends. Pc and Mac players, don’t forget to claim My First Pet Stuff for free before January 6th! I wish I could say the same for console but it’s auto-bundled with Cats and Dogs anyway

If you place the natural bathroom bush in your lot, cats and dogs will jump inside to have invisible fights with creatures, and that helps to raise the feathers collection really fast. I know this because I played a hoarding save were I had a house with the cats and dogs hung out traits. However I had to eventually remove the bush as pets would get sprayed by skunks all the time lol

Man I miss sims 3 pets. You could control cats n dogs, but sim4 cats n dogs even thou can't control them directly,still more can be done.i made millions having my 2 dogs go out and hunt for item's, my 1 cat as well

Pretty sure cats and dogs can appear in any World. I've even encountered strays multiple times while on holiday in Selvadorada. They're Sims and, like any Sim, can be randomly generated and have the same random travel autonomy.

If you have nifty knitting and leave a knitting basket on a table or floor of your house, playful cats will batt at the basket until they get a ball of yarn which they will then play with like a pet toy. It's adorable and can give you pocket change if you throw it in the money trash can after they are done.

In The Sims 4 you have the option to un-fix your Sim cats and dogs, just in case you have them fixed and then realize "Oops, I didn't want to do that." Obviously it doesn't work that way in real life.

@@ragabashmoon1551 I've heard that if a female cat or dog that isn't fixed runs away, there's a chance that she might come back home pregnant. I also know that if your Sims cats and dogs aren't fixed, they'll go in heat from time to time (which in Sims means they often yowl/howl with little hearts around them). I think it might be possible for a cat/dog that's in heat to autonomously mate with another cat/dog that's also in heat, but again, I've never had that happen to me so far

I ALWAYS know I’m going to learn interesting things when I see an upload!!! ❤ Edit: Just a quick tip; if you pick Free Spirit for a female cat and don’t want kittens, consider spay for them lol….twice I have had my cat come back pregnant so now if I don’t want her to have kittens I just get her spayed.

The cats rarely play with the ball toys and I've actually ditched the container box so the balls don't get autonomously put away... but they still don't auto-play with the balls!

I find it funny in the Sims 4 when cats go poop. It's just their facial expressions while doing it & sound of the pee hitting the litter box floor. I don't know why it's that funny to me but it is.

Have three cats in real life, but can’t play with them in the game any longer… no matter what traits, training, etc., I give them I can’t get them to stop CONSTANTLY meowing. It drives me crazy. Even the lazy trait doesn’t seem to help, and it’s a shame. 😢

Even when I've given my Sim pets amazing lives they still randomly run away -_- and come back a few days later. It makes me so mad lol.

I'm new to Sims 4 so haven't tested this theory yet, but what I used to use in Sims 3 was to lock the door using the "everyone but myself" function. Kept annoying paparazzi, guests, pets and Bonehilda out of places I didn't want them. Its a little more complicated for a family but works great with solo sim

Spellcasters can send their cat (or dog) familiars out to forage for potion ingredients. Other than that, I figure cat (or dog) familiars work similarly to how other familiars do, hanging out near their Spellcaster and protecting them from death by magical overcharge. I'm not sure if there's anything else; I have a Spellcaster family with pet familiars in one of my Sims 4 save files, but I haven't really done much gameplay with them yet.

@@zauselleo8051 Hairless cats still give us allergy for some reason. I used to have a hairless cat with one or two hairs, I began having an allergy attack everytime I got close to him, but I still miss him.

The allergic reaction is not against fur, instead against the saliva of the cat that cleans itself with it, some protein in it. I wish we could do something against that, so many cats looking for a loving home in shelters and mqny allergic people. Have you tried taking Antihistamine?

Honestly I wish I had... I did the cat video first and in my mind at the time I thought that dogs would be quite different, but then found that they were (despite a couple of changes and additional things for dogs) more mirrored than I'd thought. So apologies for that! You're right in that combining them would have been nice.
