I remember when Wolfenstein and Doom came out and it looked crazy. Never thought a game could be like that. Never in a million years did I think games would look like they do today.

After 2010, the FPS genre is stagnant, and there is a huge regression in many games.

I really wish they made a game that had the roleplaying elements of The Elder Scrolls Games and combine it with the high speed action of the Unreal Tournament games. I would play the shit out of that.

I noticed that lighting is a huge factor in modern day shooters. The vibrant colors and lighting add to the effect. Also, Battlefield 3 really took it to a whole new level. That game still holds up today.

It would have been cool if you showed footage captured at their native resolution and framerate. All of the older games were enhanced, I know they definitely weren't that sharp or smooth playing on their original hardware. It would have better demonstrated the evolution.
