There may have been an error in identifying the group as insurgents, as insurgents don't wear uniforms. But there is no evidence of deliberate murder. The journalists were not wearing their PRESS vests and helmets. The van was a common vehicle used by insurgents and terrorists in Iraq and elsewhere.

Massacring unarmed civilians from the safety of a helicopter is not combat, it's cowardice. The obvious glee these killers took in their video-game slaughter makes it murder, no debate. But of course, we had to find all those weapons of mass destruction, didn't we? No wonder the US army want to keep their war crimes hidden.
