I don’t understand why you need to talk to the church first. If your sexually assaulted or raped you go to the police right away!

I went to Hillsong College in 2016 and remember seeing Anna around college although we never really talked that much. She was always super vibrant and kind towards others and seeing this makes my heart break for her and makes me so mad against the injustice that is displayed at Hillsong Church. Trust me, this is not the only story of ways people are given opportunities there and end up screwing others to get there underneath the guise of being a Christian. It’s sickening.

When cornered with accusations of sexual assault it's always alcohol to blame and never the person. Intoxication is the most widely used excuse for bad behaviour.

Love that her attorney is Billy Graham's grandson. Someone that can tell them "No, that is not how God commands us to live." He can point out how they do NOT represent how Christians are supposed to act and use scripture to show how Hillsong is manipulating the Word to benefit their agenda

It doesn't just happen at big churches it happens at small churches also. I don't think a church should shut down over someone's actions. They need to address and notify police when something like this happens that's where they are wrong.

I went through sexual harassment since I was 14 for 10 years. My mom died when I was small and my dad was not a believer in Jesus so I persevered in the faith on my own, but even though I felt so powerless in the harassment situation it never crossed my mind to report the leader that was doing that to me. The leader crossed the line by attempting to kiss me and started kissing my neck so I was able to leave and stop him from actually kissing me. I then reported him but the problem was instead covered up. It's really sad that things like this happen in the church.

When Brian Huston was at a church event my friend who facilitated pastors needs (like living at luxury hotels, food requirements and so on) said that he smelled of alcohol and looked drunk. I personally am so glad I left hillsong years ago. Hillsong is all about money and power just like all mega churches. It’s not about Jesus, that’s for sure……

My daughter left there in 2011 because they were asking for money over and above there weekly offering. It was $600 dollars a month. She has found another great church. Thank goodness she got out. He’d then go off overseas.

The devil works hard to bring down God's church. Many false converts are typically the tool the enemy uses. Temptation is the spell that works best in us sinners (humanity) but through Christ, daily, He will strengthen us and give us discernment. We def shouldn't overlook these bad deeds, sweeping things under the rug shows the bad fruit within the staff. They need to repent and go back the Word. God would never be ok with anything that these people did, and unbelievers get the wrong impression. We can't operate in the same way as the world does, although we are all sinners in need of a Savior, but how we act to immorality is what should set us apart. I pray for that church, that the Holy Spirit revives that church and brings TRUTH. 🙏 I also pray for the victims, that they may find healing ❤

Then, if that was not bad enough, Brian Houston was given permission to leave/escape Australia by our Prime Minster - Scott Morrison. Our PM is clearly happy to cover up such behaviour and/or engages in it himself and needs to help out his buddies.

I prayed thinking that people were just envious or jealous. I have the gift of discerning spirits. Last night after hearing one singer, this voice out of nowhere said,"I am Lictor. You are mine!" What was that? Please tell me.

This happens more than people know. In small churches,communities too.

I was thinking to attend Hillsong but as I kept praying and seeking his presence. Jesus show me the real fellowship, God is good and faithful. There is nothing you can hide from him, he is justice father.

He said the young guy got much drunker than he should. The scriptures say no drunkard will enter the kingdom of God 🙏. Someone who is a drunkard and obviously someone who assaults someone sexual has no business in church leadership period period. It's time for the church of the Lord Jesus Christ to go back to something rarely talked about anymore holy living.

Few bad apples will ruin the whole batch if they allow them to remain,, sexual predators should be flagged and exposed .. my heart breaks for the young victims of these monsters.

This is no consolation to the person violated but be absolutely sure judgment is coming and it will start with those professing to be Christian leaders only to be revealed as wolves in sheep's clothing, your punishment will be the most severe.

I was in Hillsong for a couple years. When i wanted to attend their college in 2019 in Sydney, the LORD showed me clearly NOT to attend. The bank account code started with 666 and also did my college student number involved 666. I never attended! Instead the LORD sent me back to Holland to preach the Gospel on the streets. Stay away from false teaching folks!

Why they tolerating drinking and staffers getting drunk?

This is a very sad and tragic situation. Churches shouldn't cover up sexual assaults in order to protect the reputation of the church. When a church receives allegations about a Sunday School teacher, youth minister, pastor, etc raping, molesting, sexually assaulting, etc someone, they should call the police to have the police handle the situation. Everyone sins and no one is perfect, but there are some sins that have a more negative effect on society than other sins. Murder, rape, child abuse, child molestation, lying, cheating, stealing, not living by the golden rule, adultery, etc are sins that have a more negative impact on society than premarital sex, cussing, telling dirty jokes, eating too much junk food, saying God's name in vain, worshipping idols, not putting God first in your life, etc. Everyone sins and no one is perfect, but if a person has sin weaknesses in certain areas, they're not fit for certain professions. If a person has sin weaknesses in the areas of adultery, rape, child abuse, child molestation, being an alcoholic, being a liar, being a thief, etc, they are not fit to be a pastor of a church. Some churches never do background checks on people that want to work with children and teenagers in churches. The excuse they use on why they never do background checks on people who want to work with kids and teenagers in churches is "what's done in the past is the past and God wants us to forgive people". God does want people to forgive other people, but forgiveness doesn't mean being naive to the reality and seriousness of child sexual abuse. I believe in giving people second chances in the general sense, but child molesters shouldn't get second chances due to severity of the sin, the severity of the psychological damage it causes children, and since the vast majority of child molesters don't change their ways. Most child molesters never change their ways. If a person molests a child, they should never be allowed to ever work with minors ever again for the remainder of their life due to the seriousness of child molestation since when a child is molested, it causes psychological damage, it causes a child's innocence to be destroyed, etc. I know of some churches that do an excellent job of protecting children from child abuse, sexual abuse, etc. Those churches always run thorough background checks on people that want to work with kids and teenagers in churches. In those churches, if you want to work as a Sunday School teacher teaching children, a youth minister, a volunteer that helps out the youth minister, etc you have to pass a thorough background check. If an adult at the church that's involved in working with children is accused of molesting children, the pastor and/or the elders of the church call the police and that adult is removed from their church job as Sunday School teacher teaching children, volunteer helping out youth minister, etc pending the results of the investigation. If the person is found guilty of child molestation and spends time in prison and after being released from prison apologizes to the pastor for what happened, the pastor will accept their apology, forgive them in the sense of not dwelling on the issue, moving on with their life, etc, but the pastor will never allow them to work as a Sunday School teaching children again, never allow them to work as a youth minister ever again, never allow them to work as a volunteer in youth ministry ever again, etc.

It appears to be an emotional, whacky, church.
