It is already too late and Ukraine has already lost these territories now from Russia and even if Ukraine and the USA do what they do, they will not be able to recover these territories again. Russia's temporary withdrawal right now is just a strategy and it makes it look like Ukraine is advancing, but little missing for the next move and against Russia's attack it's all a matter of time. Peace will only come if the USA and NATO stop interfering. The only thing that will be achieved is that Russia may get all of Ukraine.

I have read that Sweden only gives aid that it is allowed to distribute itself and the US requires that aid is generally used to buy the US's own goods and services. Whereas simply handing money directly to corrupt regimes is not going to help anyone who needs help.
