Meatball is so funny! There’s one spot where he just hopped over some rocks, all 4 feet at the same time. It made me laugh and the way he looked back at me was also amusing.
He is always checking on me while we are hiking, as you’ll see. I don’t know what he thinks he’s going to be capable of if I need to be rescued!

Your channel came up in my feed just now and I watched your hike. OM! Then I saw your Meatball who looks so much like my Terra (a Havanese) because of his coloring and his tail and it made me cry. I, unfortunately, had to have Terra humanely euthanized last week at the age of 8. She suddenly started having seizures back in February. Even though the vet and I worked closely together to monitor her on anti-seizure meds to control them, she progressively got worse. She was my water and hiking dog. She loved the water more than hiking but always enjoyed a good hike. Take care of Meatball and yourself while hiking! Stay safe out there!! I subscribed.

Good idea to take a small dog with you. Mountain lions will take the smallest first so you have time to escape.
