I don't really wanna go there but, the Prema cars have been faster than all the other cars in recent years and it almost feels like that has a bigger impact on F2 championship than the drivers themselves, I mean look at Schwartzmann, he's been absolutely awful and still in P2.

Piastri isn't faster in F1 than Bottas though. Alpha have an A+ F1 driver. They rather settle for a B driver with sponsor money rather than an A- driver. The sponsorship money could propel Alpha towards the top of the grid on Bottas and Zhou to top 10. They already know where an A+ driver(Kimi) gets them in an uncompetitive car.

@@Kevinschart Because some of these drivers are absolute huge talents. Instead we have a driver that chokes his 2nd place almost at the end of the season that gets an F1 seat when he has never finished higher than 2nd before this year in F2 and got destroyed by a rookie this year.

Checo has money and is only 30. I doubt he will be out of F1 that easily in 1-2 years. Bottas is also a veteran but still relatively young and talented. I think vettel is possibly the one to be dropped soon. His performance has declined and he is 34 years old. Not much left in the tank. Lewis will also be possibly gone in 2 seasons and Alonso possibly the same. So piastri could even have to wait until 2024 for a seat.

@@meganod279 you are right about checo, he has a huge backing and he has the race pace and experience to fight in F1. I didnt put a timeframe on either him or Bottas. On another note, I counted Vettel among the 3 who will be the first ones to leave.

Zhou has money like Mazepin or Latifi. But Zhou has Skill and money and if Piastri had gone to Alfa, Piastri wouldn't have been with Alpine either and with Alpine Piastri has something better than with Alfa for 2022 or 2023.
