From the very first draws, the Yamal team seized the initiative - 6:3 and, despite the efforts of Schenkel and Biryukov in the attack, by the middle of the set they retained the advantage - 11:7. The hosts acted reliably in defense, and an ace from Vyshnikov made the score 17:12 in favor of FAKEL. Sosnovobortsy made mistakes more often, and although they managed to reduce the gap on Kayumov's serves, by the end the Yamal team was still ahead - 22:19.
